Doc from The Tester Put to the Ultimate Test; Saves Life of PS3 Fan

PSLS writes:

Many of you PS3 owners out there may be familiar with Doc (Samuel) from the PlayStation Network reality series The Tester, but what you may not be familiar with is what this man does on a day-to-day basis when he's not gaming. Just what exactly what does he do? Well, he saves lives… literally... (PS3, PSP)

Great job Doc! :D
Army_of_Darkness  +   1933d ago
yeah, I also thought he was an alright dude..
until he started crying like a little b1tch after is girl friend got the boot... Gawd dammit! that was so gay!
dalibor  +   1933d ago
@ Army_of_Darkness
We all got feelings my friend it's just that we deal with it differently. Had he saved your life I'm willing to bet that you would put the comment you wrote aside. Does it make you a bad**s that you don't cry? Imo no. I am willing to bet you that even some of the most toughest sob's out there have cried. When one loses someone important it can hurt more than a knife/bullet wound.
Army_of_Darkness  +   1933d ago
@dalibor
what?!?! you make it sound like he lost her in a tragic incident! which is not the case btw... the girl that he liked, which he met on that realty show for a couple weeks got voted off, so he started crying like a little wuss!!! she wasn't his official GF, hell he didn't even get no action from her?! Doc was in the friends zone bro! the friend ZONE! no horrific butter knife cut to the wrist trauma or anything like that!
It was just fu3kin embarrassing to mankind to see a guy cry over nothing!!! ??

Army, grow up. You're so juvenile.
user9422077  +   1933d ago
This really is heart warming. Nice one Doc! You make us proud

Awesome
I was happy to be in the right place to help speed. I was only one piece in the giant puzzle. UGFD was on scene and My partner Cara is an amazing Paramedic, She did most of the work. The ER staff,Cath Lab team and ICU workers all formed the support team for speed. alot of people form around someone in the ER when something likes this goes down. I was surprised the next day when myself and my partner walked into his room and he instantly knew who I was. I hope he was a speedy recovery as I know he is eager to return to his friends and the PSN community.

Your samuel ?
decimalator  +   1933d ago
Great job Sam. My brother-in-law is a paramedic/firefighter in Hermiston, and my father-in-law is a fire chief, so my wife and I have much love for first responders.
Scolar Visari  +   1933d ago
Good job, man. :D
Bathyj  +   1933d ago
The real heroes are always so modest.

Good work man, love your ID. I still have to get Akira on BluRay.
shadow2797  +   1933d ago
Huh. I would have thought there would be a 'Doc' in your SN somewhere, but at least now I know why you chose 'Doc' in the first place.

Anyway, good job, man. You do us gamers proud.

Having close encounters of death myself I salute you. I too had helped save a girl from being hurt, a girl got out of second story window who was really drunk and I along with another guy actually caught her. Now I don't expect people to believe me but it's my personal experience & I don't give a damn. For what I have experienced is just unforgetable. Things like that leave a resonance that stays with you forever.
Kanedas_Bike  +   1933d ago
lol Legit
I am Sam. I used my PSN ID here so ppl would know its really me. I used a pic that is an inside joke with me and my friends, so they also would know it is really me.
darthv72  +   1933d ago

dopeboimagic92  +   1933d ago
I remember one of the managers on the PlayStation.Blog saying he was a firefighter and a paramedic with a heart of gold.

I wish I could have met him in Home :P
NJShadow  +   1933d ago
Hey man, just swing by the Home forums every now and then. Sony isn't shy when it comes to meet and greets. They'll usually have something stickied in the Clubs and Events forums.
Kanedas_Bike  +   1933d ago
Kevin Furuichi, executive producer for the PSN stated:
He’s actually a paramedic and fireman, but is so passionate about the industry that he put it on the line for this unknown show. Some folks are turned off by his larger-than-life personality, but the man’s got a heart of gold.
user9422077  +   1933d ago
Unlucky on not making it further on the Tester. Was really hoping you would

LeonSKennedy4Life  +   1933d ago
Hm...
See...I didn't really like Doc on the show. Sorry, Sam. It's just that you acted like a complete tool the entire time.

You weren't on Vh1, man...
Redempteur  +   1933d ago
even if he feel arrogant some points , he had a working strategy and got powerfull allies ( 2 of them got into the finals , one won ) and he lasted enough time to have a impact..

i don't especially like him but at least he did something
Kanedas_Bike  +   1933d ago
Interesting....
If you have heard or read ANY interview with my friends from the cast, they all agree that the editing showed something comp diff than what actually happened. You got a 22min view into a 24hr day. How accurate do you think those 22 min will be when edited for TV?
