THQ Inc. has announced that Big Beach Sports 2, the follow-up to the popular 2008 summer hit title, Big Beach Sports, is currently in development exclusively for Wii. Scheduled for release this summer, Big Beach Sports 2 offers new sports based games and compatibility with the Wii Balance Board.
Living with another Wii owner, I have quite a healthy library of games on the shelves that have been accumulating for quite some time now. One of those games is Big Beach Sports, one of the many mini-game compilations available on the Wii aimed at the ‘pick up and play’ market that the console has been associated with.
Guardian: "Many of you may remember the mercifully short-lived late-nineties fad of selling non-name-brand DVD players bundled with dozens of "free" DVDs. The logic being, I suppose, that Joe Bloggs would be more willing to take a risk on buying a Sunyo if he could amass an extensive film library as part of the deal."
David Rankin from YourLocalGuardian: There's is nothing intrinsically wrong with the game, I just wonder how long the minigame bubble will last and, if it does, how much space there is for relatively poor relations against Nintendo's homegrown beasts.
