both Sony and M$ released there motion controlled systems @ E3 2009 Sony shows us a tech demo and M$ shows us red balls and the bottom of an avatars shoe now almost 1 yr later @ GDC we get Sony showing us there version of Wii Play, Socom 4 and another tech demo and M$ is still showing us the same red balls and .......*crickets, At E3 2010 M$ better be showing us something else beside this stupid red ball game because if that is the case Natal is done for, I know the fanboys on here wants this to be the coming of Christ but I'm sorry Natal is becoming a bigger disappointment than the 360s reliability (RROD/E74,Disk scratching).

I think Ricochet is the only Natal game that exists in the pipeline. If there are any more I think they will alll be like Ricochet. I don't think MS are saving any surprises at all for E3. That would only be stupid, right? Building up expectations is just bad marketing anyways. o_O

Natal holds my interest juat as much as Move does. The only exception is that I think the Move may actually entice me to purchase it if the types of games I enjoy utilize it. It appears more that the Move is geared towards the core games. The Natal I think I may play around with a lot at Best Buy or Fry's.

Like Soda said, it seems richochet-type games are suitable on Natal and we'd see more of these family-style games. Unfortunately for me, I don't have a large enough audience at home to really bring out the enjoyment of Natal. It'd seem silly since I'm primarily the only one gaming, and the significant other only enjoys PJ Monsters.

I'd rather invest in the many XBLA games that are out. Castle crashers is awesome and GeoWars still is my favorite XBLA game of all time, and those two look more appealing and fun than the richochet demo we've been seeing so many months now. And let's not forget dishwasher dead samurai!

Seriously, MS claims to have many publisher supporting Natal. Why don't MS just show a little bit/teaser of 3rd parties WIP and save the big and best ones for E3.

At least SONY have already proven they can do every genre of games possible with PSmove.

I will reserve my own personal judgment until REAL GAMES are released, so far Natal is heading towards failure: Looks like Eyetoy and plays like Eyetoy. If it looks like a duck, quack like a duck, play like a duck.... It's just a duck. It is just an Eyetoy. Need to see more.

360 guys... why are you hyping this so much... Shooters are best done with a trigger on the controller. Sure, you can implement Natal with a controller. Even with an open mind, this is still lame as hell when I imagine what I can do. With your hands occupied, are you going to show the bottom of your shoes or wiggle your arms like chicken wings as a gesture of action? Tilt your head nodding or shaking to and fro to look at the map? Extend your arm to switch weapons? You can try to think of possible things to do when playing with a controller like me. In the end, those are wasted energy... A button can do all that with less effort, energy, and error.

They best be showing worthy games soon or else the 360 cannot compete with the PS3 momentum.

Even if MOVE or NATAL delivers, the mouse and keyboard is still superior. Consoles should just use the m/kb combination and get it over with. Create a portable m/kb portable controller perhaps.

Mouse and keyboard generally is better I find. RTS's are usually superior when using it, fast-paced shooters too. Adventure games I'm not too fond of on PC though. I was very pleased to see that UT3 had M&KB support on PS3, I thought it would spark something great but I guess not.

Hell, even my Wacom tablet works on it. Why are they not taking advantage of stuff like that?

Is what some people need. This video is more of the same, a fact that seems to beat to death in this thread, we all know it (and given the expressions in the video the players are probably on to something as well).

But the fact of the matter is videos like this shouldn't be taken out of context. It's one scenario, not the end all be all truth.

So a little patience? I for one am excited (not hyped) to see what MS has to offer at E3. If it's good I'll buy, if not too bad for them. No need for excess of hate. This whole natal deal is way too polarizing.

Natal will be good, but I still think Sony has the better software, and I think most gamers will want some along the lines of the Wii Remote rather than punching and kicking into fresh air (Natal).

MS and Sony need to quit trying to be like Wii and stick to their roots. Also, while this may not be on topic, screw 3D also huge gimmick IMO. Just keep on giving us great games and save this stuff until next generation or something.

3D will be the next graphical barrier to break through though. You can only make a flat display look so real right? If it looks like an FPS-style film, then that's as good as it will get. 3D will take the flat presentation and bring it out just like black and white advanced with color.

But yes, the motion controls should take a backseat this gen, at least until they are widely preferred among the core gamer.
