GFB writes: "Another step towards NFL 2K13 seems to have been made. As reported back in late January, rumors have been swirling around Take Two (T2), the parent company of 2K Games and 2K Sports, that preparations were being made to bid on the NFL license in 2012 once EA's exclusivity agreement ends."
I'm wishing Take Two/2K games all the luck in the world!
Fingers toes and eyes crossed on this one. I am sick of the madden monopoly of crap games!
log out right now and start googling. Google is your friend and you need your friend now more than ever. 2K started as Sega's answer to a lack of EA support on the Dreamcast and ballooned into a full-blown sports franchise that was bought up by Take Two.
this is the BEST NEWS THIS DECADE ...PLZ BLESS US WIT NFL 2KFOOTBALL
How did I miss this. I never even knew about the first story. Glad it turned out true. I almost can't wait for two more years. OMFG. The more I think about it, the more excited I'm getting.
I just don't think it will. It would seem to me that Take Two will need to grab the exclusive rights or else EA will so no matter what happens we will only have one.
Why doesn't the NFL grant the license to any company as opposed to an exclusive license? Wouldn't the NFL make more money and possibly increase NFL exposure with more companies competing to make the better NFL game? It would be a win situation for the NFL and gamers.
Otherwise can someone explain the NFL's rationale for this?
Greed my friend...greed.
