Week recap: PS3 $499; Xbox 360 faulty; Wii sells 73K

Sony Corp. this week debunked a price cut for the Playstation 3 despite an advanced circular that advertised a lower price. The device currently sells for $599.
Consumer website Cheapassgamer.com this week listed a $499 price tag for the PS3 in a Circuit City Sunday circular due to be released on July 15. Sony in June said it was studying a new pricing strategy for the system.

It would be wild if Sony, MS and Nintendo all announce price cuts at E3.

I dont think MS will announce price cut. Also, Nintendo is more likly to announce a new pricier Wii model (With DVD or something). I dont think Wii will go below $250 for a long time since even at its current price is selling like hot cake.

nintendo is not price cutting because there on fire
xbox360 is not price cutting because of that 3 year warranty
ps3 is price cutting because they a good line up coming out and 500 is better than 600 but i like 2 see 449 but i have 2 ps3 already with 200G hard drives in them warhawk is coming out

nintendo probaly will be the greatest of all time after that. no but seriously it would be funny if they announced a price cut the industry would be sad.
