Pre-E3 2007: Burnout Paradise Hands-on Plus New Screens

The game is already a technical champion with highly-impressive displays that show off what the PS3 and Xbox 360 can really do. For proof, smash into something and watch what happens. The deformation of a car when it hits a pole at 100 MPH is highly-impressive; it'll wrap around its unlucky target exactly the way Crash Test Dummy rides do in those popular safety videos. Hit it with enough force, and you may even see the engine go barreling through the rear windshield with shards of glass and metal flying everywhere. Sometimes, cars can even be torn in half. It's awesome.

EDIT:@Danielson 1.4.IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. Do not apologize for people that easily, not everyone deserve it,not everyone take it as sign of good intention, pricks will see it as weakness and as victory for them.

I almost wet myself after reading tha article and seeing the screens. The cars look beautiful. And "game is already a technical champion with highly-impressive displays that show off what the PS3 and Xbox 360 can really do." I cant breathe!! After Fallout 3 and MK8, this is my fave game and series, Cant wait to see the next-gen crash and take downs. Great find.

A good thing that they mention both consoles in that line. Should calm down fanboys on both sides.

if these are ps3 screen they did a good job with it. The ps3 is the lead platfrom right?

MK_Red3694d ago

It is the PS3 version. They said that their test was on PS3 and earlier, Criterion announced that PS3 will be the lead platform for Burnout Paradise.

Sevir043694d ago

"Even better is how Criterion is handling online play. Unlike most videogames that have lobbies and other middle-man programs to prepare you for the race to come, Burnout Paradise makes everything seamless. Simply locate a traffic light and friend via in-game buddy list, invite him to race, and when he accepts... BOOM! You're online immediately and ready to go. Keep in mind, this entire process happens without any interruptions or menu screens whatsoever. It's easily the most convenient multiplayer feature we've seen and will likely be the standard from its release point forward (and yes, we saw it demoed in real time on the PS3. Supposedly, it'll work the same on 360 as well)."

thats what happenes when you have people when you use the PS3 the way it should. Criterion has stated it. that the PS3 is the Lead platform. still i dont doubt that the xbx 360 version will be any different considering how well MS has done the xbox live. so it'll be great for everyone. wow did you check out the Screens, i saw the trailer in HD on my PS3 but they dont even look a fraction as good as these screens.

I must say that i'll be owning this one of the very Few Multiplatform Games out there

Didnt TDU do this already?
Its a good idea except it can get annoying if you are just trying to do some single player stuff. People get all bent out of shape when you choose not to race with them.
