FPSes forgot to be fun, simple and original these days.

I'll just cheekily add my recent blog of a guide how to run these on modern PCs and enhanced if you choose to.

You guys must only be 360 or pc gamers. If you have a ps3, and you like fps games, you should try MAG. If MAG is an indicator of where and how fps's are evolving then im extremely happy. Its evolving like an animal.

The support that zipper has for the game is second to none. The epicness of what seems like free weekly dlc support this game has been getting is top notch. Its a beast of a game, that looks better, plays better, and tweaked to balance it even more with every new update.

I highly recommend MAG to anyone who can think with their own minds and not rely on what other people think when it comes to games.

I remember a time when fps werent almost all team squad based , and chokeful of autoaiming and assist .

Long are gone the days you needed actual skills for both aiming and acrobatic plays (like in Q2-q3) , welcome to the age of shootgun rushing fools , drone abusers and campers (but to be fair that one always existed)

I think developers really need to step it up with FPS's. Its always the same generic shoot your gun and kill the enemy and move forward gameplay every single time. They really havn't changed over the last 15 years and I think its about time we see some innovation and originality. Gameplay is extremely linear in all shooters and the voice acting is always horrible, also im sick of all the cliche story lines and charcters. I can look at a character in any fps and know exactly how they will act because ive seen it hundreds of times before.

That article was like a trip down memory lane.It seems FPS have gotten a little bit stale of late.Just played and finished F.E.A.R 2 and the new Wolfenstein and neither game offer anything new.I may take Blaster's advice and give MAG a try.
