When Eye of Judgement launched for the PS3 in 2007, raised a few eyebrows amongst traditional gamers. Using the PlayStation Eye, it allowed two players to fight card battles either locally or over the internet; with the console itself displaying the combat between characters using surprisingly attractive graphics. The quality of the production values made up for the slightly nerdy (even by videogame enthusiast standards) nature of playing a collectable card game on a console. All in all, the package made for, if not a good game, then certainly a unique one which got people talking. Two expansion sets of the physical cards required to play the game were released over the next few years.
