Although Microsoft is still declining to reveal revenue figures for the Xbox Live Marketplace service, the company has said that it is growing by double digits each month...
Can't wait for E3. I'm going to be downloading like crazyyyy!
Is there a reason why this is not shown in the home page but only in the 360 section when topics like this http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News... for sony are? Seems like a bias on the part of this website.
It shows at it's required destination first, then it shows up on the home page so calm down.
because it was posted 6 hours ago and has just (now) barely reached 50 degrees. Let's watch the N4G - Sony conspiracies, eh? This site praises / bashes everything don't feel sad. or maybe becasue it was posted by Also Known As _______. Hmmmmm? See...conspiracy theories kinda suck, right? ============================= ============================== = === On topic: -- "Although Microsoft is still declining to reveal revenue figures for the Xbox Live Marketplace service, the company has said that it is growing by double digits each month...." -- ok so even though this was quoted to the NY Times by MS - it's still MS telling us that the service is growing into double digits, like SNE was telling us that the PS3 was beating all in AU. I still want to see the numbers because that's a whole lot of new people each month.
hey guys i was mearly asking a question , did i say anything about conspiracies? I simply did not know it had to get "hotter" pardon my "newbieness".
well this is definately significant news.
Not sure I understand this. What do they mean by double digits ? Instead of 9 people subscribing to XBL each month, now it's 10 people ?
Lets say that the service started with 10,000 items of media or users (which is probably what they are reffering to)one month and the next month they had 11,000, that means that the month after that it will be 13,000 (instead of 12,000) and the month after that it will be 17,000 and the next month it will be 25,000 and so on.
or they could be reffering to the actual revenue itself so if they made $10,000 one month, the next month they made a million cause if you add 2 zeros to 10,000 thats what you'd get (yeah i know its obvious). Or (probably more realistic) 10,000--> 10,010--> 11,000--> 100,000--> 10,000,000-->...... any way you look at it its impressive but eventually it must "top-off".
Wow, it sounds real good, other than the fact that you have no idea what I'm referring to... Downloads? Revenue? Users? Activity? Demos? (Hell no! They rarely release demos... Flatout is in the UK, why can't we have a demo?! We speak the same language!) Videos? Music? Xbox Live is pretty sweet, don't get me wrong, but there is always room for improvement.
what the heck? it could be anywhere between 10% and 99%, as for me I watched 2 seasons of Enterprise and almost a season of old Trek, add to that about 10 rentals
haha very good news for me, now I can see people are willin to pay for a good service so why not me, ill get on soon
but XBL is cool. Kudos
XBL is expanding! Home better hurry to catch up!
Maybe they dont wanna releae numbers until they get a few more partners interested in their service im still waiting on "The Office" to make the jump a show like that would put MS in a good spot. P.S. if you havent already download episodes of "Clark and Michael" its hilarious and FREE!
