This console generation, aside from HD graphics, has been about online gaming. Xbox Live and to a lesser extent the PlayStation Network have changed console gaming and made almost every game seem incomplete unless there was some online component. Thankfully developers have backed off that initial bandwagon, but the integration of the massive multiplayer online game into traditional genres is not complete to any extent.This console generation, aside from HD graphics, has been about online gaming.
