holy poopoo, now THAT'S innovation.

The tetris is crazy!

Microsoft is stealing this from an Indian college student from MIT who developed this very same technology and presented it at the TED conference.

Carnegie Mellon and MS, shame on you. Give the Indian kid his dues.

Pranav Mistry's TED Network presentation uses colored markers and a camera.

The Carnegie Mellon/MS Collaboration does not use an external camera. It actually detects the vibrations that are created through the arm as a controller. This is a thousand times more complex with its detection methods.

The only commonality is a pico projector. But those are used in cell phones, used to project movies, etc in all sorts of various devices.

You trolls will just grasp for anything won't you...

Get your gaming fix while keeping the significant other happy by using them as the controller. Win win. A,B,C,D, and newly added G button.

Saw this on N4G a while ago

Very cool tech, with some refinement it could even be practical.
