Emergent Secures $12m in Funding

Calabasas, Calif.-based Emergent Game Technologies has today announced that it has secured $12 million in its series D round of funding.

The middleware firm, which boasts to have witnessed sales growth of over 100% during the past year, has also consolidated its R&D efforts and announced a number of promotions.

"Emergent delivers what game developers and publishers need most: scalable, modular development solutions that allow them to minimize their financial risk while unleashing their creativity to make great games," said Gadi Tirosh, general partner at Jerusalem Venture Partners who led the round of funding alongside Worldview Technology Partners. Adena Ventures, Walker Ventures, Copan and Cisco Systems also participated.
