Ve3tro Review: Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight

Ve3tro writes: "Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight introduces the beginning of the end of series with a final swan song of new and improved features of the title that heavily borrow off ultimately better and stronger titles.

However Command & Conquer 4 does bring a new and interesting story to the series in a style that none have previously done as well as brilliant visual detail, as well as a clean and slick menu system to the RTS genre. This isn't the game Command & Conquer you know, it has evolved into a better Command & Conquer game but a worse RTS title.

Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight brings the end of the series along with a few changes to the RTS formula, changing things many normally associate with the Command and Conquer games."

The story is too old to be commented.

Darren_y22833d ago

Agreed, Westwood need to be revived to correct the sins of their father.

Yast3r2833d ago

Yes please. More Westwood for the N4G crowd!

I truly hope this is the last CnC game, as it would appear that ever since WestWood went under, the franchise has been going downhill. It's as if EA forced EA Pacific (and EALA) to change the CnC formula to renew it (CnC generals being a CnC in name only). Ever since then, they have been trying new things (yet always on the same old tired SAGE engine) to bring back CnC to its glory days. Sadly, in my opinion, every game has been getting worse, with RA3 being a rather sloppy game by my standards.

While I would have never said this back in the early 2000s, I hope EA kills the franchise, as it has been buried enough by now.

Agreed CnC Generals was amazing and everything before that and now it's just going downhill. I hope there next installment will be a new CnC Generals game

Yea I'll just stick to Dawn of War 2, it works well, and is incredibly fun, funny though EA tried to copy it.

If EA really wants to do more CnC, just go do Generals 2 or something.

edit- I read through the review...he never really explained why he marked it down other than it not being like previous CnC titles.
