40° Why the Wii will beat Project Natal and Playstation Move

"So, motion controllers? Are they really the future of gaming, or just a big fad that only kids and grandparents enjoy? Without being able to travel twenty years into the future to pass judgement, you can only hazard a guess that neither of those two statements prove to be implicitly true."

check this out!

it does the things that the wii can do and it can do stuff that Project Natal can do.

WildArmed3115d ago

They had an demo like that for the Eyetoy too before.
I wonder how it translates into game.
Can't wait for e3

3 words why Wii>Natal and Move

software>hardware in the motion war

WildArmed3115d ago

I agree for now.
The fact that wii has millions of lead on Move n natal doesn't prove anything.

But the lack of software does.
So far Sony has shown me one or two titles I may be interesting in getting Move for.
(Gt5/Socom.. and Gt5 is still up in the air? The casual games I dont really care about at this point)
And atm I dont recall any Natal games to mind.

So if after E3 Sony n MS continue to show a lacking software lineup, it might as well not bring em out this fall and wait till next year.

I can have the best tech in the world, but w/o anyone using it, it'll be useless.

Wouldn't try to compair Wii's line up vs PS3's if i were you. Sony has alot of studios that can make games that support Move. Plus there's all the 3rd party games that release on the PS3/360, and not the Wii. If Natal/Move get support from enough developers, they could easily have the better Motion control games line up.

Blackcanary3115d ago

will be using Head Tracking i can't wait.

WildArmed3115d ago

we aren't comparing the PS3 lineup vs Wii.
Because the Ps3 lineup is always top notch.

But the PS Move software lineup isn't so hot.. atm.

E3 will fill alot of those software. so till then PS Move doesn't really have alot of support like the Wii does..
Granted that Wii is just motion games for the most part, while sony does DS3 and PS Move now.

Remember when those developers were doing stuff with the Six Axis and coming out with games like Flower and the Ratchet and Clank games, and then consumers went with the Wii line up instead? There's an important lesson there.

The Wii wins hands down. ;)

Zelda Wii. That's all I have to say about a killer app that uses motion plus. Name another game on that level of anticipation that uses motion coming this year for Natal or Move. :)

So you have a realistic racing game and you expect it not to use a pc like wheel and paddle for game play. On top of this please tell me how to hold the move side ways? You see that instant fail. Didnt see it coming did you?

On top of this all of sonys eyetoy games failed at retail. All of them!

Samus HD3115d ago

the wii has the best motion controls cuz: can be used side ways
2.Wii wheel Wii Zaper etc....
3.Wii balance board
4.and that new thing that it will be released soon ...

ps3 move a totally Copy . Natal no chance for competing with Wii

end of storyyy

Nintendo aren't aiming for Hardcore audience.
Sony are doing both. yes they have more Dev studio then Nintendo and ms combine.
Sony can also make those silly w!! games in an instant( pump out every month)
Now that sony have the same Motion control as W!!, sony is tapping into their market.
because third party will port those game to sony as well. The only thing left to make people want to get a W!! now is, Mario, Zelda, Metroid.

tunaks13115d ago (Edited 3115d ago )

Red Steel 2
Monster Hunter Tri
The Last Story
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor
Arc Rise Fantasia
Dragon Quest X
I could go on, Even though Zelda Mario and Metroid are awesome these titles still exist

Fierce Musashi3115d ago (Edited 3115d ago )

You just mentioning Mario, Zelda, & Metroid proved that they aren't targeting just the casuals. I must ask you, do you read Wii related articles often or just when it's something console war related? If you haven't, let me inform you. Nintendo's 2010 line up is most certainly not casual based. Hell, they are even supporting Monster Hunter Tri, a game that's not even first nor second party in a franchise that's isn't even know to be on Nintendo platforms. Nintendo wants the Wii to be a console for everyone, including the "hardcores".

On to the Move:
If (IF) Sony is indeed trying to steal the Wii's thunder then they are going to have to give the PS3 a price cut as well as bundle the controller and a game or two in order to compete, considering that the controller (to my knowing) is sold seprately. When it comes down to it, the Wii is the way to go for casuals when prices start getting compared. Why pay extra for pretty much the exact same experence?
