RPad.tv snagged some details from developers that claim to be creating games for the next Nintendo handheld system. Details on the screens, dev kit, possible release date, and more are covered.
"The dev kit is similar in power to the GameCube. Developers that worked on GameCube or Wii games will find it easy to create with. " I find this extremely hard to believe. Imagine the battery life on that thing.... I have a feeling it will be on par with the psp graphically.
graphics on a handheld is not surprising you is it?
I"m pretty sure the DS2 will use that Tegra chip they've been talking about.
ill take this with 4 grains of salt and vodka but i need something to believe sounds pretty dam good. there is some extra stuffs missin i dont know what but there is more. i know it will surpass the psp but lol i dont know tho.
4n4n4n4n4 Actually it would be surprising for Nintendo, it's not like they tend to release power house consoles/handhelds. It is usually outdated hardware with some gimmick attached to it
And you think this because you were born in 2006?
wow if thats true then that means the ds 2 will be more powerful than the wii graphically.
I hope Nintendo adds virtual console to the DS2.
DS2 will most likely be Gamecube level because it follows the pattern. GBC-NES, GBA-SNES, DS-N64(although it's actually more powerful), Next portable-Gamecube. However I doubt that many developers know anything about Nintendo's next system and the ones that do probably aren't the type to blab.
not to be anti nintendo but sadly that trend has to end the next ds will be more powerful than the gamecube but the wii will barely be more powerful cause of technology. im about ready for next gen glad im getting that fix with handholds.
Im at GDC 2010 right now and this story is completely false. rpad.tv lost all credibility before it had any.
And you're basing this off of what? Do you know the people I spoke with? Your comment is pure libel.
If this site or article have no credibility, than why did your site (VGCharts.com) write an article linking back to the original article from RPad.tv? I suppose that means that means your site isn't credible either?
If this site or article have no credibility, than why did your site (VGCharts.com) write an article linking back to the original article from RPad.tv? I suppose that means that means your site isn't credible either? so what say you, big bad VGchartz?
Tell me again how I was completely false.
Speaking of lost credibility - great job on sticking your foot directly in your mouth (taste good? a bit like mediocrity?) in light of the DS2 announcement. Props to Rpad for being on top of his game.
It will probs use the tegra chip nintendo where interested in while back if so it would probs be powerfull gamcube on par with the wii. SpoonyRedMage you would surpriced how easy it is to make a dev spill all it secrects i know people that work at rockstar leeds and tell you loads of stuff.
This is completely fake. I'm also at GDC, the Nintendo reps here are completely uninvolved with the future of the DS and its development. This is 100% made-up on the spot. Do not support this website with hits.
Ah, more libel. If you read the story, I said that none of the info came from Nintendo. Saying you're at GDC doesn't give your opinion any credibility. So what? There were a lot of people there. You think everyone there had the same information?
There's a proper way to do things, than there's this. If you spoke with a Nintendo rep that refutes the content of this article, that's really all you have to say. To encourage people not to read a site or to claim that someone is making a story up without first checking who their sources are is rather unprofessional journalism. Think about that next time you write an article where you can't/don't name your sources that you believe to be 100% true.
so instead you want us to go VGchartz for thier "credible" reporting on SALEZ!!
Totally fake, huh? oopsie...
Tell me again how I made it all up.
I think I'll support rpad and his site with hits since he was spot on with his "100% made-up on the spot" info. But I will be sure to return to you guys when I feel like reading tabloid-worthy material.
Damn this sucks, I just got a DSi. Oh well lol, I hope they don't release this until 2011, give me some time to earn some dough Nintendo.
I wonder if it'll still use cartridges, or if it'll switch to disks?
...It’s graphics will be the same quality as on the wii? That would be weird... but the two close screens would be nice. I hope they change things up enough to differentiate it from the current DS.
If this is true then this also confirms the existence of the PSP2.
No way in hell it would come out THIS year either.
