Sony Made Its 'Move', Natal Had Better Come Good

No, it's not the PS3 Arc and for sure not the Wand, it's the PlayStation Move. Moving through GDC like a fresh breath of wind, Sony's motion device has injected new life into motion gaming again.

HAHAHAGHHHAHAHHHAHAH sony made a wii clone MS is going to sh!t all over this clone.

It only does everything..Nintendo does.

cyborg69712834d ago

And MS only does, nothing but buy dos, steal gui, and innovate nothing what is your point.

saint_john_paul_ii2834d ago

he doesnt have a point, he's a certified troll..

mrv3212834d ago

Microsoft cloned the PS2 a last generation console.

Can I check of PSmove is again

PSmove is a CAMERA and a motion device
Natal is a camera.

Last I check Camera and motion>camera

But hey... those are the facts like Natal has more lag than PSmove and Natal is less accurate

Show me hardcore games on Natal go on, the only example if Burnout Paradise which is INFERIOR on Natal than Controller.

plb2834d ago

@mrv321 So Natal is really just a camera? Ignorance must be bliss.

cyborg69712834d ago

Then you must be the most blissful person on this rock.

mrv3212834d ago

Ok, I'm sorry Natal is a camera and a Microphone.

Seriously that what it is, sure it's advanced and 3D but it's a camera none the less.

rawd2834d ago

Can't wait to see Natal RROD when someone happens to walk passed the TV

avengers19782834d ago

Well the move did show off more capabilites then anything Natal has shown, oh and it actual works with exsisting games. Wanna play Halo with Natal sorry your out of luck, but if you want to play socom with the move go right ahead.
Sorry sony just dropped a huge bomb all over Microsoft's Natal and they'd better come with something impressive at E3, because The Move packaged with HDMI camera, and game(hopefully sports champions) for less then 100 dollars is a damn good deal...considering the Natal by self will probably be more than 100 dollars.

is getting silly. i'm not interested for any of them.

Silellak2834d ago

I dunno, I don't think the problem is with motion gaming per-say, but the implementation thus-far. People wanted things like a 1-to-1 sword-fighting or 1-to-1 boxing game since the Wii was first announced, and years, later, there's still no such thing. Both Sony's Move and Microsoft's Natal have the possibility to change that, and as of yesterday, Sony's Move has shown more realistic and useful implementations.

If either one of them actually get it RIGHT, even some hardcore folks might enjoy the occasional motion controlled game. All it would take is a 1-to-1 lightsaber dueling game to win most of us over, really ;)

PoSTedUP2834d ago (Edited 2834d ago )

the Sony Move vs. MS Natal:

Natal is great tech. that you can interact with stuff on screen with your bodyparts. BUT games such as most games... how are you going to move about if you dont have anything to press or control? you only have a limited ammount of room in your home.... this is the reason you dont see many games for the PS eye! its the same concept and you are limited!

Move, you have control of your hands, plus you have control of the charectar and can move around because of the controller wii thing., you have more control than natal by far.

so natal will be implemented into casual games like the ones we have seen, and ps move will be implemented with most games.

they are different yes. depending on price and how much i like what i see, i will probably be getting both (regardless of how much crap i talked about the wii) that fighting game looked sick.

@Blakzhuk

I doubt that very much ,I also doubt that Natal will be under $100us.

(I did get the pun)

Aquanox2834d ago

I was expecting better from Sony. What a bad marketing ad.

Everything there looks extremely boring.

For example, the guy "Boxing". HE moves his head to evade. Why? The PS3 motion will not detect this movement. Natal will.

For a Boxing game ala Punch out, Natal will be THE sh**t.

D4RkNIKON2834d ago

Move has been proven to work with any game type. Natal has not, I am waiting to see how they plan to use Natal without a controller to control FPS or Third person shooters, rail shooters are so lame imo.

WhittO2834d ago

I'm interested in the Move, all the people who say the Wii is fun with family etc can now say that about ps3.

I know though, even though the controls may be more accurate, graphics alot better, there will still be people who will not admit the PS3 does it better.

iFLOWLIKEWATER2834d ago

Pfftt...The "Move" is so parallel to the Wii-mote, that its amazing people are actually loving it and at the same time hated Wii. In other words Sony is competing with Ninty because MS is on some different level from the formers.

Cenobia2834d ago

Wow...you do realize Sony and MS are both just trying to steal a portion of Nintendo's market share. I hope you don't really think MS is above that seeing as their business practices are the most suspect, imo (ie buying out exclusives and DLC).

The 'Move' provides 1 to 1 movement with HD graphics. Sounds like win to me. Even if you hate the Wii, you have to admit that some of the games are pretty awesome.

I'd like to see an Okami re-re-release and a lot of PSN games like World of Goo. I can't deny it's similarity to the Wii mote, but I don't particularly care. I doubt xbox users cared that avatars ripped off Mii's. Really this just broadens the type of games that the PS3 offers so I think its a good thing.

They better not make you buy the 2 remotes separately though. That nunchuck bullsh!t on the Wii pissed me off.

D4RkNIKON2834d ago

I hate to repost, especially in the same thread.. but you obviously don't read. How is MS on a different level when they are so limited without the use of a controller?

"Move has been proven to work with any game type. Natal has not, I am waiting to see how they plan to use Natal without a controller to control FPS or Third person shooters, rail shooters are so lame imo"

IdleLeeSiuLung2834d ago

I never heard anyone say, I wish the Wii was HD nor have I ever heard I wish the PS3 had motion controls. In fact, I have heard the sixaxxis sucks!

So tell me what void is Sony trying to target. At $300 for the PS3 + $70-99 for the motion control, it is at twice the price of the Wii and it lacks a nunchuck!

They seriously need to come down on the price even if the product has way more features than the Wii. You want to compete with the Wii, compete where it matters!

JustTheFactsMr2834d ago

"Sony is competing with Ninty because MS is on some different level from the formers."

Let's recap:

RROD
No HDD standard (Xbox was ahead)
HDMI is a waste of time
last generation small scratch-prone DVD's
same 5.1 lossy sound as Xbox
Removing hardware processing from camera and further burdening an already underpowered console.

Your right they have proven themselves to be on a completely different level. Not a stellar or visionary one however. But blind faith is what it is. Blind.

EVILDEAD3602834d ago

We've seen enough ad nauseum Natal in conferences and talk shows to last us a lifetime..or at least till E3..'Move' just took it's second baby step..

Not only did 'Move' turn out to be the Wii mote 2.0..they used the 'Natal' commercial to promote it.

Natal haters and PS3 friendly blog sites spent months telling everyone how the hate motion controllers until last night..funny how one day can change things..

Forget Socom 4..if Move existed today..would any PS3 fan prefer the controller or Move to play M.A.G...Call of Duty etc?

Will on rail shooters like House of Dead really take off on the PS3?

Will ANY PS3 shooter be more accurate to the Guncon peripheral?

I'm still hoping for an HD version of the PS2 'Point Blank' collection for the abandoned Guncon3..(pretty please Sony)

Talk all you want about Nintendo..but will ANY game coming out for the Wii top 2010's Super Mari Galaxy 2, Metroid, or the rumored Zelda?

All Natal has to do..is emulate it's original commercial and it will DOMINATE the headlines (although N4G will have a slew of negative ones)

Make no mistake..Natal does have alot to prove..but 'Sony' is in the exact same boat..

If Natal actually brings new gaming experiences...we ALL win

If Move actually is a more precise Wii with PS3 graphics ..we All win (umm..the homeys at Nintendo might not agree with that assertion though..)

*pulls up feet on couch..E3 is going to be some serious fireworks****

SPACEBALL 12834d ago

neither natal or move sound all that cool, but at least microsoft is trying something new rather that ripping off the wii.

Mr_Bun2834d ago

You mean "ripping off the wii" AGAIN!

"So tell me what void is Sony trying to target. At $300 for the PS3 + $70-99 for the motion control, it is at twice the price of the Wii and it lacks a nunchuck!"

Are you serious??? Have you not been paying attention to this site for past two days. There is a nunchuck called the Sub controller. Damn I really hate when people comment with lack of knowledge.

otherZinc2834d ago

Can SONY think for themselves?

Biggest2834d ago

Aquanox had already proven himself deaf and dumb. Now he is suffering from blindness. I wonder, Aquanox, if HE moved his head and the game recognized it because THERE IS A GOTDAMNED CAMERA THERE. Just saying.

And to the evildead guy. . . Let's see what the Natal has shown over the course of the year. A ball game that doesn't actually work. A cartoon man that has appendages that intertwine and protrude where they ought not be. A ball game that doesn't work with breakdancing. A racing game that isn't actually the game or the race. A ball game that doesn't actually work.
And in one 40 minute lecture, the Move has done better. It showed pre-alpha builds of a multitude of games ranging from completely childish and lame to extremely fun and mature. They showed precision that according to the people that were able to use it is the best ever seen. There were no dancing ball games. There were no twitch BAM men. And no arm tiring racing not-really-the-game games. Good job, Natal.

IdleLeeSiuLung2834d ago

"Are you serious??? Have you not been paying attention to this site for past two days. There is a nunchuck called the Sub controller. Damn I really hate when people comment with lack of knowledge."

What I meant was for the bundled at $70-99 price tag Sony is aiming for, it lacks the nunchuck.

HolyOrangeCows2834d ago

It'll be just like the HD-DVD vs Blu-ray battle: More will be on board at first for the Microsoft backed product, but then leave when the restrictions get in the way.

EVILDEAD3602834d ago (Edited 2834d ago )

'And in one 40 minute lecture, the Move has done better. It showed pre-alpha builds of a multitude of games ranging from completely childish and lame to extremely fun and mature.'

LMAO @ the multitude of games you are bragging about..

Look we all get it..your one of the I'll bash the 360 till the end of time guys..with the same ol' anti-anything Microsoft rah rah..you've clearly proven that..

But..you have got to be joking about the 'multitude of games' in that conference being the greatest thing since sliced bread..

Bash Natal ALL you want..say what they showed can't be real..talk lag all day..but at LEAST what they showed was a departure from the same ol' Nintendo formula.

I'm not trying to bash the 'Move' in anyway but let's keep it 100% real.everything they showed was a replica of what the Wii has already done..

Boxing..Day one..Wii Sports

The Bow and Arrow..Wii Sports resort

Table Tennis..Wii Sports resort..third party games (Rockstar Table Tennis etc)

Golf..Wii Sports..multiple 3rd party Wii games from Tiger Woods etc..

Swords..Wii play Resort..to older games like Red Steel and No more heroes

Shooter..FPS isn't new..See third party games like the Wii version of Call of Duty

On Rail Shooters..House of dead 2 & 3, Overkill, etc.

And if you want to count the little girl drawing on the screen then that goes back to the silly Natal elephant game..

So once again, you have the Move presentation telling the world that it can do and provide games that have already been on the Wii..

With that said..there is NOTHING wrong with what Sony is doing..but it is hilarious at the bashing Natal took from the exact same people that are praising 'Move'..

In fact the daily Internet Natal haters #1 argument was that Micrsoft shouldn't be trying to go after the casual market because wii is already the winner..and they even tried to show how it was bad for gaming in general..lol

Funny how time flies and opinions are reversed when it their fave console blatantly trying to do the exact same thing..

So you're saying some hacking and slashing with Move wouldn't be awesome? Hmm?

How about handling Kratos' sword with Move in an epic battle featuring Zeus? Awesomeness I reckon!

Cenobia2834d ago

I'd prefer it if this stayed away from the PS3's core exclusives. They should be making games to fit this controller, not shoehorning already awesome franchises into it.

Oblivion would be pretty well suited for it because the pacing is slower. GOW would make you tired in 3 minutes. I don't think the combo gameplay would work well with this either.

Basically I want to see NEW games. Just don't butcher IP's that are already awesome for this.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO2834d ago

Killzone 3, Resident Evil 5 and others like the Survival Horor Game incoming compatible with Move, are not Casuals. Especially Killzone 3.
