EA chief financial officer Eric Brown has revealed an extensive DLC plan over the next half year for DICE's shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
FIX THE SERVERS!! & THE STORE!!
Free like sonys online service
Maybe they are going to mail it out on a disc and then you play the DLC like a board game.
"FIX THE SERVERS!! & THE STORE!!" LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!!
I hope it's still free with VIP status...
only the first 2 are free
... is the reason why I haven't bought the game full-price. I hate having to buy a game, only to come home and have to pay extra to have the complete experience. Yeah, I know the first DLC was 'free' (it's on the disc(!)), but from now on, they'll most likely milk it. :( Such a shame. The game really looks like a lot of fun, but 50 euro is pretty much the limit as to how much I'm willing to spend on ANY game.
yeh but for ppl like myself, i'm playing the game to death and already getting bored of the maps so i'd welcome 1 or 2 new maps every month for a few £ no1 is forcing u to buy dlc
... ofcourse, but if you want the 'complete' experience, you kinda have to. Ironic thing is that if they would just promise in advance that all future DLC for this title would have been free, I would have bought the game at full-price on it's release-day. Now, I MIGHT pick it up once it sells for less than 25 bucks orso, cause I have to take into account the extra costs for DLC.
you can always STFU and have the full experience that you half payed for. or pay for the full price of all the dlc and game and get the full experience.
next are not 2 maps, it's arica in conquest mode and an other map in rush, but existing maps
As long as the Paid content isn't on the disk like the "free content" was, I'll be ok with it. Still not sure how I feel about that "free" day one map pack. Seems a bit shady to me, but I understand why they did it. I dunno...
It was meant to screw the used game buyer and people who rent, people who buy a new copy just get full access to the NORMAL game thanks to the VIP code, EA never intended to give us free stuff but maybe guns or specializations dlc(or on disc) will be free to VIP players since that doesnt cost anything to make compared to maps.
I know that... That is why I said, "I understand why they did it." But it still feels a bit shady to me. There has to be a better way to encourage new game sales as opposed to used. Like, say, REAL DLC?! And to charge the people who buy it used or get it from a friend just to play what is already on the disk is wrong IMHO. It's a 50/50 to me. I can't hate 'em for it, but I don't like it either.
say what u want about MW2.. but at least give em props for not being [email protected] like dice and doing all this bs like keeping stuff out of the game and selling it to us as dlc like EA and dice did with bc2. just look at all that, 4 maps all of which are on disk already as well as the "DLC" coming out on the 18th which i be you anything its already on disk. the gun camos and stuff.
sounds like the VIP will be a let down :/ Was hoping for it to be somewhat as good as ME2's. Forza's VIP is a mix of good and bad since they have given a decent amount of free cars with awesome liveries but all the packs still cost money. Seems like BC2 will be worse than that.
EA stop this craap. Fix your servers first then we will talk about dlc after that.
Fix the Store. And the website so i can get the M1 Garand. :/
Fix the damn servers! I thought I could leave MW2 but played 2 games yesterday and then couldn't connect to a game. Fail! Not to mention the graphics leave way too much to be desired. Looks just like MAG and the guns have no detail wtf?
Laggy, Game store broken. Whats that laughing i can hear ?, Oh its I W.
thy sold 400% more copys then they thought they would and it was hard to make it run perfect the first couple of weeks it will be fine by the end of this month.BAAAAAAAAAAD COMPANY 2 is E P I C!!
Soda Popinsky No soda the store is fine. I heard xblive was broken, that's why you have to keep paying for it.
did a little ps3 birdy tell you that?
