Popping the hood on Blur and checking to see what influenced the game's mechanics

GameZone's Nick Akerman writes, "After spending a considerable amount of time getting to grips with the Blur multiplayer beta over the last week, it's fair to announce the game has taken inspiration from a host of influential gaming products, and even the film industry. Hey man, nice article, have been playing the Beta quite a bit. The game's a lot of fun in my opinion, I can see all of those factors as points of inspiration for the game.

But aren't car race games more or less all alike? Might be just another car game with little innovation.
