Gameztraffic: Heavy Rain Review

The word "choice" is a powerful one, a concept that games have tried to include through morality systems and branching narratives more frequently over the years. Sadly, the nature of games and game play conventions prevent any true feeling of choice beyond simply selecting a different ending. While games often offer a more interactive and innovative way of conveying a story, they can only do so much, at least we thought. When Quantic Dream's David Cage came into game design, he wanted to break the barrier between film and games. (Heavy Rain , PS3) 9/10

i don't understand these high review scores
i guess i made it about two thirds of the way through before finally admitting to myself that actually this game is a huge dissapiontment and a waste of time and money. It's not so much decision making as pure chance as to wether or not you will understand what they want you to do with the controller in time. I never chose to let any of the characters die. extrememly limited exploration and only a frustratingly shallow level of control of the short scenes proved to be no fun at all in the end. Didn't bother finishing it. and yes i'm a ps3 owner and yes i really have played the game. come on be honest guys , this really is the emporers new clothes.
