Talk about taking a flying leap into the future of gaming.. Welcome home Crysis.
This will be the Greatest PC game of 2007. And maybe even 2008
It's even more important then that time that guy in the Black Mask said "Luke, I am your Father"...LoL
RISE! CRYSIS ... RISE!
But how much is it gonna cost to play this game, $3000 ??? wow thats even worst then paying $400 every 3 months to play halo 2.1.
Hazy > Crysis.
Crysis is great good looking game, but problem or question is, how many people will be able to play it as "max" specification? Like 2%? This is showcase title.
It doesn't cost that much. Use that calculater on your PC. You can easily get a good PC within that range for $1200-2400. Depending on what speed RAM and what processor you go with. Intel CPUs get a slash in July and a few new Intel Core 2 Duos coming with cheaper prices around the same time.
Q6600 Quad-core CPU + Motherboard = $499
8800 GTS(320 MB DDR3)GPU = $300
160 GB HDD = $60
2 GB RAM = $100
Case + PSU
1. Case + 700 W = $100
2. Case + 500 W = $40
16x DVD-ROM + 52x CD drive = $25
Monitor 19" - 22" = $150-300
Cheaper side: $1150
Higher end of same stuff = $1360
Also add in Win XP($100) or Vista($100-400), Keyboard+Mouse($20-50), maybe speakers($2-100)
PSU can vary as well depending on what you want in your system. Like if you wanted SLI best to get 600-800 Watt.
All of those prices come from Tigerdirect.com might can get better deals on some other sites like newegg.com, and others.
You're absolutely correct, DeadlyFire. I hate assumptions, like as if it costs "$3,000" to play the game. It's so annoying, I swear. I know a bunch of people think this game looks really good, but are afraid to admit it, because they wouldn't want to spend "$3,000 for just one game." That over-exaggerations is so typically widely accepted, but incorrect.
I want to finger-F$%^ this game.
No wwayy! that is CGI pre-rendering...that is not game play...
I think I can say with 100% certainty that Crysis on max settings easily looks better than 2005 Killzone CGI. OMG!! that second video was mind blowing!! Haze, and Uncharted look good, but this is really within a few percentage points of photo-real. The problem is that few will be able to enjoy it like this, 'til at least a year so after it comes out..!
