Spore developer, Sims creator and all-round industry icon Will Wright has criticised the steady flow of clones and sequels in gaming and has warned that games developers must start innovating now if they're to avoid trouble down the line.
So no Spore 2 if this does well? Ya damn hypocrite.
What an idiot
So Sims 2 and the million expansions are bad?
GTA IV look pretty good
God of War 2 was better then the first one on PS2
Halo 2 kicks ars
Most of the times, the story can get deeper and there is more time for gameplay then the first versions if you ask me. Tweak what's already good and add some great things.
Sometimes they f*ck up though
Yup. Sequels can help series definitely, in some cases they can revive dying series (example: Devil May Cry 3)
O...K, SimCity, SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000, SimCity 64, SimCity 4 (Rush Hour), SimCity DS,SimCity Societies, The Sims(and various expansions), The Sims Online, The Sims 2(Even more expansions),The Sims Stories, SimEarth, SimAnt, SimLife, SimTower, SimHealth, SimIsle, SimGolf, SimCopter, SimTown, SimPark, SimSafari, SimTunes, SimRefinery, SimCoaster, Sim Theme Park, Streets of SimCity
you beat me too it!! What a cack, will only makes "SIM" games and he is talking about creativity??
not to buy spore 2(if it comes out).
Great planning for the future man.
Like if his Sim games are THAT different from each other.
I know you'll read this since you obviously are taking your sweet ass time with Spore...Bite Me.
Thanks for you time.
Spore will fail.
-What about the million Sim games?
-Definately not buying any Spore2.
He still holds one of the largest gaming franchises in history
I am mostly disappointed if the devs use the same engine, graphic setting etc. If they have great new ideas and / or a stunning story is driven farther, why not?
