From the review:
"To kick-start the Xbox Live Arcade Block Party, a promotion for the upcoming Game Room, Microsoft brings us Toy Soldiers, a World War I tower-defense strategy game starring-you guessed it-toy soldiers. I'm sure I'm not the only one who immediately thought of the old Army Men games when this was announced. As such, I was admittedly skeptical but was surprised to see that this was quite unlike anything I expected. Mixing RTS and tower-defense elements, as well as third-person-shooter action and even a bit of flight simulation, this little war game packs a lot into its few hours of gameplay, and does it quite well I might add."
XMNR: Amazon updated its end of January downloadable deals for the PC on Sunday to include five pack of Microsoft published indie titles that stars "Mark of the Ninja", "Iron Brigade", "Deadlight", "Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet" and "Toy Soldiers". This in addition to a load of other deals such as half off "Borderlands 2" and "XCOM: Enemy Unknown".
Signal Studios has released a new update for action strategy game Toy Soldiers; game owners can download the update on Steam now. This update integrates Steamworks features into the game.
Celebrating the recent release of Toy Soldiers as a Games for Windows – LIVE title, Microsoft Studios has published a short official ‘Tips & Tricks’ guide for the videogame. Toy Soldiers is available to download via the Games for Windows – LIVE service now, as well as via the Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360.
I was surprised by how fun this game is. I think a lot of people will get a kick out of it.
