Gameplay Monthly: BioShock 2 (PC) Review

GPM writes: "Same-old same old. Nothing has really been updated in the graphics, and for those who are visually stimulated more than anything else, this is a huge let-down. Yet in retrospect, we are visiting a place beneath the waves that some of us are familiar with. I find it's a real case of "if it isn't broke, why not fix it", but the problem is, if you're going to require higher operating costs, then dammit, make things optimized. I was in the final areas and my poor system was chugging because there was so much going on, and I set things most for performance than being pretty. Nothing really new to report there." it's ok
I rented 'cause I wasn't sure what it would be and ended up getting it for the PS3 (damn you GameFly get PC games already!).

Reviewer is spot on with graphics and whatnot. Looks same ole same ole. Splicers are more intense but it's (to me anyway) is like a huge expansion pack. Save, the drill, it didn't feel any different being a Daddy compared to being a human. The dual plasmid/weapon is great and that for me made the game.

Overall, it was more same ole same ole. Go here, push button, wait for ambush, use health, continue. Plus, I am really getting tired of picking up items/weapons/ammo. Over and over and over.

With both systems having stellar titles coming out, this is a rent for sure.

Just my opinion, though.
