ID wasn't directly responsible for Quake 4...but Doom 3 they were (the showcase for the new engine), and that sucked harder than most hyped games...

and this game looks like poo so far...the gameplay video's shown so far showed absolutely nothing new, and the D3 engine it is built on already is starting to show its age...

I was so hyped for Doom 3, I bought it even before my computer could actually play it and then when I played it, it was such a letdown. The graphics were unnatural.

Noooo! Wait a sec, they need the money to maintain servers and add new maps and stuff? Every other game in the world does that and the publishers don't use in game ads to fund that - it's just a poor excuse to grab some extra cash. I guess the term "nothing is free" is slowly infecting the games industry.

Just an excuse to exploit the poor old gamer, yet again. Doesn't matter to me now, because i won't be buying in to this bull. Next game ,please.
