Spore Origins was one of the first big name games available for the iPhone platform after the launch of the App Store and, like Super Monkey Ball before it, it benefited from the gold rush early days of the app ecosystem. But sales do not a good game indicate (ahem, COD: Zombies) and now we have an update that seems to assume that first game was really good. This is really just an expanded version of a mini-game that wasn't all that fun to begin with. For the initiated, the premise is that you play as mitochondrial life forms that must gobble up DNA in your petri dish world (which is now land based) by absorbing lower forms of life to evolve as a sentient form. Your method to control your amoeba is strictly tilt-based, which works – but not well.
