Record Breaking New Year For Gaming

Although many titles that were expected to release this holiday season didn't, that didn't stop December 2009 from being a record-breaking month for gaming. I'm talking epic! To the ring of $5,290,000,000 (a.k.a. 5.29b for Billion) worth of sales in computer and video games for the month alone!"

5.29 billion is an awesome feat especially in an economic climate liek the one the world is in. This is why people wonder if video games can be recession proof?

I agree completely Joel. A lot of people assumed games were taking a hit in this economy but I'm glad to see that is not the case.
