IGN: Shadow of Destiny Review

The story is still interesting and adventure fans will want to see the different endings play out, but the deserted streets, simple quest structure, and limited audio probably won't win newcomers over. It's not a bad game, but it's an old one that isn't timeless or worth $30.

Presentation - 6.5
Graphics - 6.5
Sound - 7.0
Gameplay - 7.0
Lasting Appeal - 7.5
Overall -

The story is too old to be commented.

Better than Heavy Rain in spades... I've loved this game since it came out. I still have it on Ps2, actually. I just recently revisited the PC version too. Ace game with a great plot and set up. There are actual elements Heavy Rain has stolen ten fold from this game too. Play it, folks. You don't be disappointed.

seen all 5 ending of SoD :

Indigo prophecy is better ..

Sod was a good game back in the days but it hasn't aged well .

@nogolis

Have you played an advanced copy of HR or something? Why in the world are you comparing SoD to HR? If you want to compare it with anything, it should be Indigo Prophecy. Even then, though, it doesn't make sense, because other than both loosely being in the "adventure" game category, they are very very different games.

It's been about 9 years since I played SoD (great game, btw and **spoilers**) and I seem to remember the biggest aspect of the game was time travel back to the past to rectify mistakes or changes with a certain lineage of a family to change the future. It might be slightly similar to Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit, but not by much, and it's not comparable to Heavy Rain (style, storyline, and from what we've seen, quality).

oh wow, i remember having this game back in 2001. I've always wanted a sequel because it was a fantastic game for its time.

Maybe I have to play this game again because I thought it was garbage! my girlfriend bought this game for $50 bucks at a kb toys after I got her a ps2 for Christmas. The funny thing I liked Indigo Prophecy way better that this. ( up until the end then it just seemed weird and rushed) and Judging by the demo I think I will like Heavy Rain more too. Well good thing I got a 60gig ps3 we still got this game sitting in a box in the closet hope it doesn't look to bad on 240hz led.

I can't wait to get my copy of this game. Bringing it from PS2 to handheld is a strike of genius. I still treasure my PS2 version to this day.

One of the best time travel games of (excuse my pun) all time.
