TeamXbox: Blood Bowl Review

TeamXbox writes: "Those who might think Blood Bowl is an even bloodier, even more hellish, even more action-packed take on the already vicious pastime known as American football (and who wouldn't, given the title and the depiction of crazed carnage on the retail box), think a lot like we do. An all-out action sports game that mimics the concept of football but turfs most of the rules and harbors a wanton disregard for the safety of its virtual participants would be cool. But Blood Bowl, despite appearances to the contrary, isn't that game. It is, in fact, a turn-based strategy affair that just happens to take place in a football-like environment. Why the misrepresentation? We're not sure, but we do know this is the first of several fumbles Blood Bowl makes on the way to a goal line it never quite reaches." (Blood Bowl, Xbox 360) 6/10
