"NCAA athletes' likenesses have long been used in video games but not their names. This loophole has allowed the NCAA and its schools to strike deals with video game companies but has left the athletes uncompensated. That may change as a class-action lawsuit filed against the NCAA by former UCLA basketball player, Ed O'Bannon, was given the go ahead to proceed after a judge denied a motion for dismissal by the NCAA."
