Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced preliminary financial results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2009.
A few upcoming games shall help. Medal of Honor, Dante Inferno and even Dead Space 2.
Decent results, atleast they brought down their net loss significantly. ME2 should certainly pump some money into EA.
A major company like EA needs to keep churning in the profit. Microsoft paid money to keep Mass Effect an exclusive/timed exclusive. Mass Effect has already sold 2 million and is set to total at least 4 million. If Mass Effect 2 was available on PlayStation 3 sales would nearly double. That's between $40-70 million dollars EA is missing out on from PS3 sales. If the Microsoft deal paid less than that (probably $10 million) then EA HAS MADE A TERRIBLE BUSINESS DECISION. John Riccitello will have to explain why he has thrown away millions of dollars in profit.
What Ziriux Said.
dragon age 2 :) that be awesome if it comes out this year
What could that be?
As you may know Epic games also own People Can Fly and Chair Entertainment, and according to wiki : " In August 2008, Epic announced EA will be the publisher of unnamed action title by People Can Fly "
lol 1.2 billion maybe one day my laundry services will catch up :D
Only a few games, but i think EA can do better than what they used to. Their probably struggling right now to keep up with Activision and their MDWF 2.
