Has Rapture fallen to rust, or is the BioShock series airtight?
It's always sad when a sequel scores lower than its predecessor because it's the devs responsibility to usher the title to new heights. That doesn't mean they didn't try; on the contrary, 2K Marine placed its hardest efforts yet in Bioshock 2 - but sometimes when you try too hard you end up overdoing. I hope they didn't overreach either. And then again, this is on person's opinion, just one. I'll have my copy sooner than soon : ) And will share my thoughts... In the meantime game on gamers! The Bioshock franchise I believe is here to stay. Nothing else like it out there.
Have you played it? I guess no, than how can you comment what score it deserves?
Not all scores should be 9+ for games. Don't you find it odd all games make above a 9? This has been done, but seems to be changing... Not all games are a 9+ just because we like the franchise. Enough with the "its a flop if it isn't a 9" crap.
Well God of War 2 is the only sequel I can think of that didn't have the same lead designer as the original but still a lot of people thought was better than the original. Most sequels that aren't designed by the original creator aren't as well-received. Even God of War 2 has a lower metacritic score than the original, despite tons of people and critics thinking it was superior.
That's a very good score.I think the only reason it's not getting as high,is because the first time we played it it was an experience, and a place we had never been to before.
