Mobile Armory promo video & Blizzard's World of Warcraft iPhone app controversy

Blizzard entertainment is has released all sorts of premium features for their acclaimed MMORPG World of Warcraft in the past; pets, name and race changes, faction changes, etc. All of these, however, have been purely cosmetic additions that don't impact gameplay or offer players any real advantage over players who opt not to buy into them.
That is, until the recent announcement by Blizzard Poster Bornakk on the World of Warcraft forums, unveiling Blizzards plans for an expansion of the Armory website and Mobile Armory iPhone app (see the trailer above) to include access to the in-game Auction Houses, for a premium fee.
