Hardcore Gamer: Dark Void Review

Hardcore Gamer writes: "After the crash, the game transforms from an exciting aerial 3D shooter into a paint-by-numbers Uncharted clone until you can get said awesome jetpack back, and partake in both the shooting and on-foot cover-based shooting gameplay. Everything about the in-game presentation reeks of Uncharted, and they even got Nathan Drake's voice actor for the lead role. While they are certainly worse games to rip off, releasing it so soon after Uncharted 2 is baffling. The developers did at least add some wrinkles to the formula with vertical cover and having the jetpack play into the platforming sections of the game, which reminded me a lot of the jetpack/rocket belt missions in Pilotwings - which were my favorite part of that series." 3/5
