JRPG's were once unmatched by anyone, I remember playing from the Nintendo days. WRPG's started slow and have taken the JRPG crown because they offer new gameplay and interaction within the world. It's not that JRPG's are bad their just slow on innovation. Action elements of games have become a core part of an RPG while turn based is dieing out. JRPG's are starting to come around but will they gain some of the ground they lost? There would be no RPG without JRPG. WRPG's are just better now, Japan is starting to see where they went wrong here and are making a change. In the end WRPG and JRPG can learn a lot from one another. I would like to see more mix of both in the future, the Japanese have some good stories to tell.
