Rebellion Developments has identified and confirmed an issue with the matchmaking system in the PC demo of Aliens vs Predator. It is not known yet whether or not a fix will be provided.
not just the pc version.ive left it on matchaking for 20 miutes and havent gotten a game yet.
i spend 30 minutes waiting for getting online & havent played any game....
I've been waiting 30 minutes.... "1 player[s] in game, Waiting for 7 more player[s]" :/
Something tells me, this issue is going to still be here on Launch, and it could spoil the whole game.
PC issues? PS3 issues? LOL! funny that in Xbox360 No issues oh come on you know you wanna disagree come on press the disagree button nobody knows who you are.
@EvilBlackCat Someone seems a bit insecure. Perhaps you are over compensating for lack of good games on your favored console (well besides Mass Effect of course, because you haven't had a good game in years before it).
I was able to connect on the PC and 360 version, but the PS3 version's matchmaking did not seem to work properly. I actually enjoyed this demo quite a bit on the PC. DirectX 11 isn't in the demo, but the game still looked and ran great on the highest available settings.
I was waiting 30 mins to connect on the PS3. After that I just played BF:BC2. Thats a pretty good game.
Same here, no connection ps3 demo. ROFL not a good start Rebellion, but i've also heard its not that good.
I tried to find a game for like an hour without success. Very frustrating. Whoever thought it was a good idea to release a multiplayer demo should be fired or demoted to game tester. downloading BFBC2 now...Hope that works.
The demo only includes Deathmatch with 8 players. As soon as I spawned I was shot by other Marines. Not only that, everything kills the Marine in one hit. There's also no crouch button. Seems odd. So far the demo is an awful impression of the game. The demo should have included the Team Deathmatch that made the original so fun.
Been playing all day and had one connection issue on 360. It was for like 20 seconds but happened in the middle of a match. Loving the game by the way.
Of course you are you have such low expectations for games that anything is good.
It's not bad. I've played worse demos (Dark Void), and my dorm hall had a good laugh when I was showing them the alien's decapitations. Once it's $25 or less I'll bite.
I tried the PC demo just a few hours ago and no luck. You'd think they'd patch it otherwise it renders the demo virtually pointless.
From the 20 minutes I played on the PC version earlier today I have to say I was left completely unimpressed. I ALMOST pre-ordered this game. Now I think I will wait till STEAM has a sale on it 6-9 months from now.
yeah I am not that impressed either. I was going to get the game, but now I am not sure.
Played some matches and got first place as predator several times. Predator is a little bit overpowered with the vision and discs/spear.
Do you do the disks?
You pressed the wheel on the mouse, but first off you gotta pick up the weapon. (Referring to the pc demo)
I played the multiplayer demo & it sucks.
I played the 360 demo. Horrible issues with connecting to a game. I actual am going to cancel my pre order and just go ahead and get bio shock 2. I had high expectations for this game and was really looking forward to it but the demo was an extreme let down. Plus what is the deal with the weak marine? Sometimes you get spawned in front of someone only to die in a matter of seconds. The most annoying is the marine's radar constantly bleeping. The graphics are less than what I was hoping for, not the worst but not the best either. Bio shock here I come!
I only got into one game so far. I played as an alien and the highspeed running across ceilings is cool but just about everything else about the game is balls. There's simply no atmosphere in it and I don't just mean because it's set in space. It might have been okay if the environment was as atmospheric as that of Dead space but the map I played couldn't have been further from that. Everything about it feels vintage, and not in a good way.
can anyone invite me, want to play this, tag="Alexxone" thank you
I tried for nearly an hour and could not get into a game. I was excited for this one as well, but probably will end up looking into it used later on down the road. If the demo has issues like this, it makes me wonder about the quality of the overall product. I'll put my 60.00 on Bioshock 2 or something.
Looks like Rebellion f***** it again...
had to wait like 20 mins between matches, the demo rocks(like old times), 9/10
Got in 5 games for about 2 hours waiting (PS3), however what I did play was encouraging. Hopefully Rebellion can sort out the matching in the next week or so. Does lead to the question as to why, a multiplayer-only demo.
I played it on the PC last night and wasn't impressed. It seems like a update to the original game. There have been a lot of advances in FPS games so this kind of effort doesn't cut it anymore. The game is a rental on 360 for me at best.
I won my first and only match with a Marine. 19 kills agains 15 kills. So no, the marine is not underpowered. Weapons kill fast and you can get the grenade launcher. I loved the multiplayer. The demo is underwhelming because it is just deathmatch, but it is plain and straight fun like old school shooters like Quake 3 arena. It's fast, gory and fun and I haven't even played as the Predator or the Alien (which is extremely fast and moving through the ceiling looks awesome)
Tried it on the 360 and ps3. I was having a hard time joining a game. It's sucks btw...
