Why? Because it effed your console in the a$$? Play games and not systems.

But I gotta think MS will continue to support the 360 unlike what they did with the Xbox. Nevertheless the recent surge in demand from the price drop and an ad campaign that actually makes sense has the PS3 really nipping on MS' heels.

And because half of you won't read the interview, just some context for his statement that 360 won't be around in ten years:

"Peter Dille: Yeah, and that's my personal opinion. I think that would be the personal opinion of most responsible opinion makers. We can be passionate fans, but I don't think [MS' 360] be around in 10 years so I'm very confident we'll pass them within that time frame. I mean, we've got 31 million [units sold] worldwide right now -- they've got 39 million [units sold]. I don't even need to go out 10 years. I'm not going to make any predictions for your interview today other than we'll pass them, but you look at where we are today and where they are today, and they had an opportunity to sprint as far ahead of us as possible when they had the head start. Well, we're breathing down their necks and they can see us in the rearview mirror and it's not going to take too long to pass them."

"IGN: Coming out of last generation, Sony was clearly the dominant force with the PlayStation 2 brand. Now, though, you're playing catch-up with PlayStation 3. My question to you is, how'd this happen? How did you go from first to third place?"

IGN asked really good questions in this interview. GOod job by Dille in his explanations.

"The guy interviewing was probably shocked and had to talk out of his a** and say some BS."

UR talking out of ur a** Presto. The interviewer said,

"Well, everything's more hidden, for starters. If I tune into Xbox Live, I've got my friends list right there and the community is popping up all around me as I'm doing things. It seems that I actually have to go out and seek that functionality on the XMB. It's just not as well integrated."

The interviewer gave Dille a valid and honest answer that MOST gamers can agree with. Even the most hardened PS3 fan can agree that XBL is better integrated than PSN. Thats a FACT. Whether XBL is BETTER than PSN is OPINION.

Some people just like mindlessly running with the crowd and talking sh*t.

AGAIN no question about GAMES! E3 and whats coming later this year...

31m ps3s to 39m 360s... contrary to Dille's comments, doesn't that mean the ps3 hasn't closed the gap at all? Worrying to think what the figures may have been without the launch of the slim ps3.

Lifendz2847d ago

"My friends list is right there." It's right there on PSN too. I don't get it. In fact, I usually just scroll down my friends to see what games they're playing before I do anything. What is he talking about? Because some avatar isn't dancing or jumping the PSN community is barren? Stop it.

nogolis2847d ago (Edited 2847d ago )

MS numbers aren't legit sold numbers... They're shipped numbers. How can Peter know the "actual" figure when MS doesn't even know? Shut up.

And as for the way xbox live is more connected, yea... It is. But in all fairness who cares how connected you are when the entire community is full of Slop Dongs?

It's like having a 5 million dollar mansion sitting in a landfill ... Well, that or Mexico. Take your pick.

Beefstew4u2847d ago

lol Peter owned the IGN guy when he asked about PSN vs XBL. You could tell that the interviewer had to pull something out of his ass to defend himself =p.

IGN: "My personal opinion is no."

1. Why are you telling someone to shut up for merely asking a question? Do u have some personal problem with stewgart?

2. Didn't N4G come to the consensus that Sony, M$, and Ninty ALL use shipped numbers rather than sold? Btw, wheres ur proof that its ONLY M$ that does this? Wheres your E-VI-DENCE?

@Lifendz- XBL is better integrated because:

1. X-game chat(eventually coming to PS3)
2. Custom Soundtracks
3. You can buy things WHILE in games on XBL.
4. Party System
5. Achievements are better than trophies(This coming from a PS3 owner)
6. You can't download anythg off PSN when ur PS3 is off.
7. You can't change ur sound settings, system settings, or ANY settings for that matter on the PS3's XMB without turning ur game off FIRST.

MS accomplished a lot this gen considering where they came from they are a household name BUT lolz this guy is right Sony had a headstart on the first xbox and look what it did to it even with the xbox having greater gfx/technology. Sony squished it like a bug and forced MS to make a new xbox before the Ps3. The gap in the ps2s to xboxes were i think at least more than double the ratio that is xbox to ps3s in the same time frame and Sony is only getting stronger in terms of marketing and putting out quality after more quality while MS been staggering for the last 2 years.

What a way to finish an interview.
