2009 was an amazing year with jaw dropping games like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but it looks like 2010 is going to be another graphically rich year with some stunning games coming out for each console. Take a look at sixteen games that are going to blow you visually in 2010, in no particular order.
And what's Dante's Inferno doing on that list...
Yeah, with MAG in it.
you'd have to make that pc exclusive to see a real difference. ps3 gpu is no more powerful then the 360.
but yea we know you are a fanboy.
Keep it up with the MAG attacks. I'm sure there were plenty of bad games on the 360.
so true, most multiplats look about the same on the ps3 or the 360. Pc version beats out both of them most of the time.
Alan Wake - I still don't see what people are seeing, graphically, in this game. Honestly, it's just like GoW3, lots of hype because it's a console exclusive and used to try and make it look like one console is better than another.
Crysis 2 - Well, duh, that's kind of what it does.
Splinter Cell: Conviction - Same as Alan Wake. Looks okay for a console game, nothing that will blow my mind.
The Last Guardian - Nope. It looks good, but nothing mind blowing. We'll be playing The Last Guardian for the gameplay and emotion development of the story like other Team ICO games.
Fable III - Wow, with nothing to see yet other than a completely CGI trailer, let's just hype this exclusive title up already! Personally, I think it'll get pushed to 2011 and I don't expect anything better than Fable 2, which wasn't anything great two years ago either. Regardless, I won't ever be playing another Fable game until they change their mind about the combat and 'good or evil' BS implementation that can be changed by eating a few items you can buy at any store.
Lost Planet 2 - For a console game, it looks very nice. But, about the same as Mass Effect 2 on the 360. They use sharp texture edges to imitate detail. But, still fairly bland environments and graphic design. Nothing really mind blowing here.
Dante’s Inferno - Absolutely not.
Rage - Still to be seen. Might be great on PC, not sure on 360/PS3. The initial trailer from E3 was all PC.
Halo Reach - Not at all. Look, it's great that the characters and mobs have some new detail, using the same sharp texture edges to emulate detail like in Mass Effect 2, but the environments still look as crappy and devoid of life as ever. Microsoft could do with hiring some new graphic artists to design the environments to have more life to them as well as purpose. The game is very 80s American in that your character spends most of its time out in the open shooting other things out in the open. This day and age, we need a more intelligent approach to combat, even in an FPS, than that and a world design that supports it.
Bioshock 2 - Gotta be kidding me, right? It's pretty much an extremely slight advance over the first. The water looks worse in some scenes than even the first game.
Gran Turismo 5 - Eh, I think I'd say this if Forza 3 hadn't come out. But, honestly, it may be slightly better, but nothing mind blowing for what we've seen so far last year. Sure to get a lot of flack for that statement, but I'm just being honest. Both games do a good job of making their cars look lifelike. Gameplay is a whole other department.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Absolutely. Great art direction combined with crisp and dynamic environment elements. Game looks beautiful.
Star Craft 2 - Again, perhaps for a 2d game.
Heavy Rain - I think people will enjoy it, but it can look as good as it does because it's not your typical 3d world with multiple AIs to manage and environments that can be destroyed. I think people will be impressed, but it's no technical masterpiece overall.
Dead Space 2 - Again, where's the trailer to make such claims?
SURPRISED IT WASN'T ON THE LIST
Red Dead Redemption - After watching the trailer and diary vids, while it's hard to measure up because the old west didn't have much out in the wilderness to show off graphically, you gotta give them credit for the detail and appropriate sprite use for emulating dynamic dust swirls and similar effects as well as the general environment detail that brings the game to life. The game looks good on all platforms based on the trailers as well.
Edit: Wonder how many disagrees I'll get since it seems I'm likely to 'piss off' both sides of the silly fanboy war?
but im more interested in overall quality than what it looks like. I think it will look great and be a great SP game atleast.
lmao you dont like anything! what was the point of your post exactly? if i felt like you i think id have to call it a day as a gamer lol, even sayin duh thats what it does, about crysis 2 as if it just magically looks awesome with no effort! rediculous lol.. anyway whats with the title? isnt there an important word missing? that drastically changes the meaning? lmao.. graphics cant blow you! Pmsl visually or otherwise!
I liked the ones that are actually upping the ante, so to speak, and there are a few that look to have that potential. The others on the list are just idiotic when you're talking about mind blowing graphics, though.
Unfortunately, there's only a few each year that do this. There definitely aren't 16 in 2010 just as there wasn't 16 in 2009 that did it.
And, yeah, I'm kind of a hard-arse, but I don't take "blow you[r mind] visually" statements lightly, just as I don't take people who think GoW3 graphics are superior to Uncharted 2 graphics lightly.
What the hell is dante's inferno doing in that list. :(
PS3 games are vastly superior visually to 360 games. NOT MULTIPLATS! but exclusives... As far as actual games that have released. When the 360 finally proves it can do UC2 graphics and GOW3 graphics I will shut up but the proof is actually in the poly count. So far numbers have not stacked up for the 360...
Many PC games have the potential to look better then a PS3 game and no doubt bioshock 2 for example will look better then PS3 or 360 but to get it fully maxed out you need a good rig that doesn't come that cheap. Much more then 300$ anyway. Simply being able to play it isn't bad but to play on high settings... So when comparing apples to oranges you need to take a lot into account here. Plus I have played crysis on high end machines and it does look good but still it's repetitive. Looking at environments in UC2 for example nothing repeats. it's all visually diverse. Sure it's not as open world as Cryis but Crysis doesn't have the variety of locals and otherwise that UC2 had... It's hard to say still... As far as poly count sure Crysis wins(If you have a REALLY REALLY REALLY good PC) but as far as gameplay and simple artistic choice and diversity... Basically given the choice to play the 2 games and I got 5 hours with it on the highest settings or whatever. I would choose UC2 everytime...
Take that for what it's worth...
but your post was bringing down EVERY game there lol, gt5 really? did you play the time trial? all you had to look at there was the car model and the lighting effects in the c**kpit, the rest was dumbed down for easy download.. trust me it will amaze.. god of war 3 really? wait till they release the new footage! then say it doesnt look amazing.
Majority of them, but definitely not all.
Crysis 2, BC2, Heavy Rain, and Red Dead Redemption were games I didn't say no to. My comments for Heavy Rain were from a technical standpoint, but I don't disagree that they will likely blow the minds of many gamers out there. Rage is still on the fence because we need to see some gameplay that's not cam recorded.
GoW3 I'm just not really that impressed with on a technical level. It looks nice, but to me it's just not mind blowing considering how much easier it is for them to utilize certain methods since it's a fixed camera perspective game. No matter how good it looks, I'll always know that other real 3d games with free moving cameras, advanced AI and physics, and enough environment detail to shake a cat at (Uncharted 2 spoiled me to high heaven with all of that) really up the ante over what GoW3 will offer, which is fun action gameplay with nice visuals, but not mind blowing for me.
Going forward, those are the four games, possibly five, I'll be using to compare the mind blowing capabilities of other games when it comes to graphics this year.
Edit: Thanks for being open with your opinion without bashing. +bubs for someone who can express themselves without relegating to insults and infantile comments.
MAN, the only game you probably play a lot is CRYSIS, anything else doesn't exist for ya lol
I don't KNOW why in hell PC Guys always Compare PC vs Consoles, it just not make any sense, AT ALL... if you like the games on a Console you buy the Console, not just cuz "it haz da mozt p@werful hardwadre eva"....
I personally am really excited for Splinter Cell. Looks to be really close to Uncharted 2 or Arkham in caliber of gameplay.
CHECK THIS OUT:
Oh I know it's the Wii, but I really think playing as the Shadow is a friggin' visual masterpiece. Of course it won't be in HD.
Related video
*Alan Wake - All blur and bloom
*Splinter Cell: Conviction - Complete lack of AA on 360 version, and not all that impressive even with for the PC version)
*Fable III - The second wasn't impressive, and we've yet to see in-game footage of 3
*Lost Planet 2 - On the PC, yes. The console versions are choppy, AA-less messes
*Halo Reach - No.
*Bioshock 2 - It'll be a lot of fun, I'm sure, but the console versions don't look too hot and the PC version doesn't give an option to have AA (Unless you force it with NVIDIA software)
I said I'll buy in the bargain bin, aka when it's cheaper or used.
That Last Guardian pic does look like a Photoshop of a dog, rabbit, and some sort of bird legs. It's just an observation, not degrading the game or anything.
I only got disagrees from the fanboys. If that Last Guardian pic was for a 360 game everyone would agree. At least I can joke about PS3 and it's games (as an owner) and not feel like I have to stick up for it in every post like most of you.
i take it you have met some of the n4g faithfull lol, and im glad you didnt take offence as some might of... anyway heavy rain by all accounts, from people that have played it looks phenominal, and indeed mind blowing... ok yes there isnt the ai, and the physics etc thats why it can look so good, but still someone has to do the character models and scenery? its a heavilly story driven game, this is not the graphics fault lol, when i see it it still looks amazing no matter what going on in the background... god of war 3 like i said we aint seen the best of it yet but it seems you have made your mind up, saying no matter how good it looks you wont respect it cos its fixed camera, but do you take into account the scale of the thing? in uncharted 2 do you fight on a titans arm climbing a damn mountain? lmao, and believe me i loved uncharted 2 and it was amazing... oh and i believe last guardian will blow our minds when it drops, it looks fantastic now, but its not done yet!! lol
and do you notice something? were arguing over ps3 exclusive games here lol, i dont think that any 360 game or multiplatform game will come close to uncharted 2, but i do believe ps3 exclusives will surpass it, even naughty dog says they can better it, im sure guerilla games will exceed it too, with killzone 3../. but i agree there are not going to be 16 games to blow you away.
edit: you seem like the sorta guy that like tech stuff, but how can you not be impressed with gt5s lighting in the c**ckpit? did you play that demo? and how about realtime damage for upping the ante! im not sure but has it been done before? even on pc? im not sure maybe it has but it defo aint been done on a console, imagine no 2 crashes being the same, how can you say this game will be the same as forza seriously?
When ps3 fanboys say they want a game to be exclusive to their console to get the most out of the PS3; they really mean they want the graphics to be top notch.
It's true, that if it's exclusive to PS3 or PC, it is more likely to be so, but then that means only people with one platform will benefit. But then again, fanboys are selfish. Luckily, they only make the minority of sales for a game. That way, developers won't be forced to stay exclusive.
Personally, I don't need games to be graphically identical to real life (although that would be good to have) but I'd rather the gameplay be top notch. And gameplay does not get limited by inferior tech in other consoles (example Mass Effect 2. It's exclusive to Xbox 360 yet has such amazing gameplay). And there are some games that make the most out of both, Uncharted 2.
Remember people, it's gameplay first then graphics. Not the other way round.
some one mentions starcraft 2 besides gow3 star craft2 is one of the games i most want in 2010
i mean why in the world would we be talking graphics in a graphics article! lol... then you go on to say some of the most rediculous things ive ever heard, ok you would say im selfish cos im gald sony has first party devs that take full advantage of the ps3 to make the best game they can, visually and gameplay wise... you even say yourself that when a game is ps3 or pc exclusive it looks better... so please explain why i would take a knock in quality just so someone who bought a wii or 360 can play the game? isnt it MS that are selfish for rushing the console out just to get the jump on sony and take some market share? sony could of done the same but they chose to wait to bring us the best system they could.... just cos i like graphics doesnt mean i dont like gameplay, and graphics do imerse you in the game, so the better the graphics the more immersed you are no? or wed still be playing pac-man... i love it that sony are pushing the bar higher and higher, this is good for ALL gamers!
what if me2 was brought out on the wii too, and cos of that the 360 version had to look the same as the wii... would you be happy? if devs used both 360 and ps3 to their fullest then i wouldnt mind 360 owner playing any ps3 exclusive... why do multiplats have to look the same? do they make them to look the same on a pc? NO! so why do they make them the same on consoles... the truth is they have to gimp the ps3 version to match the 360 1 at thats whats selfish!
that title that just doesn't sound right.
In the title it says "blow you" and i was immediately drawn in
But once again i was deceived, no blow jobs this time *sigh*
"Blown away" isn't something that happens often and these guys really think it'll happen 16 times THIS YEAR? I don't believe I've been "blown away" by a games visuals 16 times in my life yet. Blown away, (like: Sit back, eyes wide and think/say whoa!). The game has to be a new benchmark and I don't think that can happen so many times within the same console generation.
I'm gonna like the visuals but "blown away"?, hardly.
I didn't mean it as an insult to you or anything man. I just kind of chuckled to myself.I think Bioshock 2 could be a GOTY contender. I know it looks just like Bioshock, but honestly, I'm kind of glad about that.
I loved Rapture's environments and the gameplay is what drew me in. Plus I love the story, and the voice acting was great.
I didn't mean it as a personal attack or anything.
I think it will hold it's own in the visuals department.
If it's the reviews done stupidly early before MAG has even jhad a chance to be played properly by ANYONE then I'm of the same opinion as above-you cannot take reviews of the game seriously as a guage of how much you might enjoy MAG as, more than any other shooter ever it's going to rely on it's gamers and their commuiunity to make it really shine. In the off times I got a great squad and a great leader in the betas MAG was a more rewarding, magical shooter experience than anything else I've played in the FPS genre. It wasn't going to be a massive seller, mind, as most people prefer the pick up and play, lone wolf rewarding COD games to games with team emphasis. However, imo, when the SOCOM and TF2 crowd start to dominate the MAG servers they'll soon have the whole thing sorted(Zipper will conquer any issues which are bound to occur when you make something ambitious like this game)and should make MAG a very different experience to the one reviewed by those too silly to wait for the games most important aspect to arrive. Seriously, a lot of people will get an awful lot out of MAG and to knock it now is a very premature move, imo, and one many may well regret.
Still makes me giggle that anyone thought a real team based shooter would be, or was imntended to, rival the sales of a normal nblockbuster FPS game without their broad appeal. MAG, like TF2 or SOCOM before it requires a different level of investment from it's gamers but those with the time to put in(and the inclination to actually learn a little rather than just keep fragging)will find it a very rewarding game in the long run. Trust me.
I've actually never played Crysis. You can see some of the PS3 and 360 titles I've played from my gamer tags in my profile. As far as PC, I've played more than my share; I have more than 75 games on Steam alone.
@EVERYONE ELSE HERE: Man, you guys sure are easily blown over by graphics we've seen before or that really don't progress the medium. Personally, my mind is rarely blown away by the graphics of a game, but it seems that 1 out of 3 games out there blow you guys away. Sorry, I'm just not as easily impressed on a graphical level.
I look at it this way, most years the game that wins graphic of the year rarely has more than two other solid contenders; these are games that truly will blow us away and yet this list attempts to make it look like there are 16 this year alone. Not going to happen.
By your standard of being blown away I guess I would have to say that no games this generation have blown me away. Except maybe Gears of War because it had a new level of graphics when it came out. But everything else that has come out since then has not blown me away because they are all too similar in graphical quality. No game has been a big enough leap over other games to really blow me away.
That said, there have still been quite a few games that have graphically impressed me this generation.
Currently the best looking games on either console in my opinion are:
Gears of War
Bioshock
Uncharted
Assassin's Creed
Resident Evil 5
Gears of War 2
Mirror's Edge
Assassin's Creed 2
Killzone 2
Uncharted 2
Mass Effect 2
The list of upcoming games that I think will visually impress are:
God of War 3
Bioshock 2
Splinter Cell Conviction
Heavy Rain
Alan Wake
Rage
Halo Reach
Brink
Crysis 2
you got disagrees because people dont agree with your opinion, you dont have to be a fanboy to have an opinion
wasn't this article made about 2 weeks ago with a shorter list that failed? not much has changed it seems
Bad Company 2 looks good, but its not as mind blowing as you think. Its one of my most anticipated games this first quarter but it reminds me of the first game without the grain filter after i tried the beta. PC version should be swell though.
pc versions are always superior.
been a year now i buy all my multiplats on my pc. id never go back to playing multiplats on my ps3.
ps3 exclusives rock though, cant wait for gow 3.
Developers are trying to use both consoles to their fullest, its just that the PS3 is a lot harder to get the same results as the 360 and since all games have budget limits and release date time lines they often can't quite get the ps3 versions up to par.
It's only my opinion, but have to disagree. BC2 definitely doesn't beat the lighting of Killzone 2, but otherwise it pretty much does graphically trump all other FPSes on consoles out there graphically considering the combination of ground, vehicle, and destroyable environments gameplay as well as a very well done global lighting system, dynamic environment effects, and general destructive effects.
On the PC, though, this thing shines, looking very nice with very good art direction and environment design, though just not as nice as Crysis which lacks in areas that BC2 does very well.
@silvacrest: "you got disagrees because people dont agree with your opinion, you dont have to be a fanboy to have an opinion"
I didn't say all people who disagreed would be fanboys, but let's not be ignorant and think that many who disagree aren't fanboys that pretty much make up the majority of vocal voices on this site.
like im pretty sure the stunning visuals we seen of alan wake and splinter cell were from the pc build.....cuz i was getting pretty hyped for splinter cell and when i was searching for gameplay videos to show off to my buddies i noticed there was a difference in quality in some and it was more than the upload factor....so assume the really crazy one is pc. same goes with alan wake.....fable might be a really good game but isn't its graphics style like dragon age cuz tho that game is good the graphics are nothing to write home about......same with bioshock 2 the pc version is the one that will stun you visually. same with rage on pc and def crysis 2 but my pc doesnt like crysis it makes him hate himself lol. i will start gaming on my pc more it really does make a difference just love my console tho i find it easier. im glad both consoles are on this list..........
You got all those disagrees because you're talking out your azz. For starters, you're comparing console games to PC and secondly, you criticize games that look better than anything else out there. How do you criticize Mass Effect, GoW3, Last Guardian, and Dead Space 2? Have you seen Dead Space's earlier engine in motion. It was beautiful. Every game gets a graphics upgrade for the sequel. Look at GoW1 compared to GoW2 or Uncharted 2 compared to the original. Of course Bioshock 2 will get the same treatment. Take 2 doesn't half step when it's a huge IP. Alan Wake looks beautiful and so does Heavy Rain. What can you compare them to? Resident Evil 5 looked amazing!! Pause the game a actually look at the textures and you will almost see no flaws. I am a BFBC2 fanatic, but it has a lot of jaggies. I know why, but you said it was BEAUTIFUL! It could use polish, but it would be hard because of the consoles restrictions for game with that magnitude. If that game corrected the AA problem...it would be the most amazing shooter ever IMO. Dante's Inferno looks amazing too, but it is a GoW clone and for that, I have to take some points off. Other than that, we don't need new consoles...we need developers to tap in in deeper and get more creative with what they have. I am fine with the visuals we have accomplished already.
No, that isn't correct. Everything we have seen recently of Alan Wake is all from the 360 build and it looks outstanding. Remedy confirmed it and the PC version was canned a while back anyway.
hoho they listed fable3,halo reach,deadspace2 and Rage when there's no GAMEPLAY trailers shown yet.
and....Dante's Inferno!?!??! i must have been playing a different demo then, i don't recall anything that deserves praise, the game looks bad imo. Bioshock2 and LP2 will NOT be blowing anyone's mind away.
No doubt Crysis2 PC will win, but i'll be looking at GT5 this year. It is quite possible the only game this gen that can be described as photo-realistic and it REALLY blew my mind away when i first saw it.
u gus are quick to right off.. dante inferno ... to be honest i believe this game would have the richest enviromental design than most games this year... and would look VISUALLY beautiful and when i mean visually its not just graphics.. its also about colour palette and design ... so ppl keep and open mind and dont just bash anything coz ur fanatical mind is so miniature
You get so many disagrees because you say things like "God of War ehh" and then at the end you're all like "Red Dead Redemption should have made the list." lolwut? Red Dead Redemption looks a lot of things, but pretty ain't one of them.
Oh, and dead space 2 should NOT be on there because it's slated for 2011. Duh. Regardless, graphically, DS1 is STILL one of my favorite games to look at, and I still get that wow effect when I look out to space. Simply gorgeous.
"blown away" and visually impressive are two completely different things and your assessment was exactly what I meant.
Last gen I was "blown away" by FFXs cut scenes, this gen I was "blown away" by those Gears of War commercials and since then I have only been "blown away" by the GOW3 trailer where he rips a centaurs stomach open and the ground eventually goes vertical while the camera pulls back to show that you were on a titan the whole time.
I was extremely impressed during some locations of Uncharted 2 but "blown away" is rare and 16 times this year is a ridiculous statement.
is a must have!
How can anyone take this article seriously wwith a title like this? I get that we know what the author meant but COME ON! Articles like this shouldn't be approved having so many errors. This guy is in serious need of journalism for dummies.
Close runners will be Alan Wake,GOW III,Heavy Rain,SC:C and Rage...nothing else compares.Even though i still have to see newest build of Halo Reach and BF:BC2 singleplayer and that is about it.
Will only be sure when all of them release, because many develpopers like to hype their games for more than its actually worth
I get the feeling that Crysis was very ugly on the inside (read: unoptimised) and there is major room for improvement. I played it through about 3 times, and it was pretty good, but I'm not inching for more.
ICO game was the only one I'm really interested in.
not the best looking game ive ever seen, and yep a clone of GOW but despite the fact that they have taken many liberties with the poem, it seems like it will be a fun game to play.
I dont get what the hell fable 3 is doing on that list. Fable 2 wasnt impressive visualy so why would the third be.
Bioshock 2 shouldnt be either. While i loved the first game the graphics look dated now, and the second looks to barely improve on the first in terms of graphics.
Have to admit, Heavy rain does not excite me much at all, based on the demo vid shown recently. The movement of the main character was stiff and awkward. I really hope they fix that before release. Let's hope we don't have to wait for a 135mb patch a la Bayonetta ps3.
But yeah, games such as gt5, Halo reach, godofwar2, starcraft2,alan wake, crysis2 (and console crysis), splinter cell and fable 3 ought to keep any gamer on their toes.
We are gonna be busy this year...
I will be happy with this lineup and I am really looking forward to the 'unannounced' 360 titles too...
In the meantime, there's always mass effect 2 and Bayonetta 360.
Stealth trolling much?
Good catch, bruthah...
Almost missed that one.
Bubbles away!!!
my goodness!
Looks like I have a couple of nasty fanboy stalkers here, debubbling me, with posts completely off topic and uncivilised in tone.
Two days ago I was on five bubbles, today two?
Help Mods!
This place is overrun with angry, nasty, debubbling hater geeks!
kinda confused me. i mean they didn't max out the 360 with halo 3 or ODST so whats to say they will this time? i guess cus they've already devd 2 games for the syetm now, but still this 'maxing out' of consoles always makes me laugh
gears of war 1 - gears of war 2... not much of a difference
uncharted 1 - uncharted 2... not much of a difference
halo 3 - halo odst... not much of a difference
the list goes on. anyone thinking there is a large difference between the sequels is deluded.
Halo 1 and Halo 2 were among the best looking games on the Xbox and nobody expected Halo 3 ODST to look better than Halo 3 because Bungie told us they would be using the same engine for it. So, where is this history of Bungie leading fans to believe things that aren't true? Just Halo 3? That isn't enough of a history to draw any conclusions.
What I have seen of Halo Reach looks fantastic and is certainly a noticeable improvement over Halo 3. Bungie already said that Halo Reach will have anti-aliasing, unlike Halo 3, which by itself can have a significant impact on the quality of the graphics. I have also read of a whole slew of other technical improvements they are making to the game.
I don't agree with you that there are almost no improvements between sequels.
Uncharted 2 was a noticeable improvement over Uncharted 1
Gears of War 2 was a noticeable improvement over Gears of War 1
Mass Effect 2 is a noticeable improvement over Mass Effect 1
Some developers actually do make significant improvements to the graphics of their sequels.
gran turismo 5 and god of war 3
/treadh
Soon enough it'll be Resistance 3, Killzone 3, and any other IP Sony comes up with but knowing them, they're f*cking brilliant.
The facial animations in that game are the best I've ever seen.
i dont get what point your tring to make, final fantasy looks superb and certainly deserves to be on the list more then games like dantes inferno
Forgetting to add the "away" bit slightly changes the connotation.
Alan Wake
Heavy Rain
Battlefield BC2
Splinter Cell Conviction
Crysis 2
God of War 3
The Last Guardian
Fable 3
Dante's Inferno
Rage
Halo Reach
Bioshock 2
Dead Space 2
Good times!
I'll just be getting:
Alan Wake
Heavy Rain
Battlefield BC2
Splinter Cell Conviction
God of War 3
The Last Guardian
Fable 3
Halo Reach
Bioshock 2
HALO REACH
FABLE III
HEAVY RAIN
FFXIII
Splinter Cell Conviction
THE LAST GUARDIAN
there are going to be some visually stunning games this year. To bad some gamers going to be too busy compareing graphics to even appericate the games.
While I won't be buying Dante's Inferno at launch, I will be picking it up some time down the line when the big releases quiet down. I would say 3rd person action games are my favourite genre.
I don't get the hate around the game. Sure graphically it's not that amazing, but the gameplay is very much like god of war so if you like gow, you should enjoy DI, especially with the whole biblical angle to it.
I look forward to that.
sorry i had to lol
Games don't have mouths, dude....
I think you mean "16 Games That Are Going To Blow You AWAY Visually in 2010"
One word makes a difference.
For example,
We just ate Grandma!!!
We just ate, Grandma!!!
16 dames that are going to blow you in 2010
And yea,why the f are you trying to put ps3 games in same breath as pc graphically???Who are you kiddin??Ps3 graphical competition is x360,not pc,this is where story ends.
Nothing more to add,Crysis 2 will be gfx king on all platforms and if it ends up looking better on x360 then i think a lot of you guys will say that you have powerful pc and that it doesent matter and that Sony will push graphics on ps3 till it reaches cgi.Man are you dumb...
PC graphics blow away console graphics. The fact that some of these people can't see that is funny, and it is no wonder that they tend to be the same people that think that PS3 games look better than 360 games. It's obvious some of these people have no clue what constitutes good graphics.
Idiots.
On topic, I'm most looking forward to GOW III, Last Guardian and GT5 when speaking strictly about visuals.
Probably will have to add a few more games to my list when I upgrade my PC as well =).
You forgot to say "away"
He has Last Guardian, Dantes Inferno, DeadSpace2 and Bioshock2, but not RedDeadRedemption and Mafia2 (much better looking than the aforementioned games)in this list.
Uhh... hah... I think the title needs to be reworked a bit. Anyway, Dead Space 2 and BioShock 2 are probably not going to be mind blowingly beautiful. Buy hey, kudos if they are.
Alan Wake= The greatest lighting effects in a video game.
Crysis 2= If it was PC exclusive, then yeah.
Splinter Cell= Looking good.
Last Guardian= WTF? This looks like Shadow of Colossus PS2 game.
Fable 3= Not sure
Lost Planet 2= Not sure
Dante's Inferno= Yes, this game looks better than GOW3. Ill buy it.
Rage= Not sure
Halo Reach= Looks better than MAG, so it wins.
Alan Wake doesnt even look good, it looks like im playing a ps2 game. Dante inferno does not look better than GOW3, sorry you need glasses.
Halo Reach will use same engine, so not expecting much out of it. Fable 3 looks like it will be the winner for 360. Rage i can see because its made by Id. Crysis 3 is a given, its a PC game.
