Marvelous Entertainment comments on the possible HD ports of Muramasa: The Demon Blade and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.
And Shinji Mikami still owes me his head for RE4 going to PS2. These interviews have zero meaning nowadays.
I don't car about no more heroes 2, but I would love to see Muramasa in HD.
Waste of time and money, make new IPs for the HD consoles or these games will turn out like chinatown wars PSP.
I've finished Muramasa in both stories, I'm trying to finish the Total Pandemonium (oh man what a spank) in order to get all swords, and a HD port would be really awesome. Too bad it doesn't seem to be on the way.
I really want to see Muramasa HD. The Wii version was just like an old arcade game with no motion-sensetive controls needed so it would be perfect on PS3 / 360 with lush 2D HD visuals.
"For Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Marvelous Entertainment flat out said no." muramasa is a great wii game ..i won't buy another version ..why ? because making it hd won't do something special about it .. it's already great ... my opinion of course ( i say it now but i expect disagrees )
they wont make muramasa on ps3/360 because they cant improve the graphics with out huge investment its obvious same as tatsunoko vs they will have to start again and tatsunoko took 3 years to make wii games with great graphics normally stay on just wii because the port to 360 ect will cost stupid money its like monster hunter 3 that game is too big a wii game to port to 360 ie thats why u are getting monster hunter frontier the online monster hunter with poor graphics the wii has yet to have a game with massive budget when them games start to come out the wii will have amazing graphics monster hunter 4 2011 on same engine but improved textures ect wow imagine that well nintendo are working with them on that franchise and japenese gamers want more monster hunter on wii so there i say give them no more heros paradise and thats it,oh 2010 for wii looks awesome
Graphics and animation of Odin sphere and Muramasa (or in fighting games SF3) level's of details and quality are only possible in SD . And cheaply applied upscale would make Muramasa blurry Or at least would require one of the big boys to step up and invest . They wont , and will instead do 2.5d stuff from now on . Wich at least is a decent compromise , much more than simple and crappy cellshading .
...at least my money.
Don't speak port of NMH2 until you bring the game out for Wii in EU.
What a crock. Why would they just say NO, flat out, on Muramasa? It's not like the title is so demanding that a port would be unreasonably out of the question, let alone a challenge considering the upscale in hardware. 360/PS3 could more than handle it with room to spare. I call foul! As for No More Heroes, that's left to be seen considering we won't know sales data on Paradise until the end of next month. If it performs considerably well (as I suspect it will), the sequel is all but assured. Marvelous are shrewd businessfolk who will be watching this demand closely, and I'm sorry but the Wii is rather lacking when it comes to serving a title to the masses. Sure, the install base is there but the bulk of that install base is not the demographic for these type of games.
quite frankly the 360 and ps3 dont deserve muramasa they have plenty of games and since their console is soo much better i dont know why they want a wii port. the wii needs its own games. like last gen re4 was the gc when ppl said xbox people said halo when ppl said ps2 they said mgs3 when ppl said gc they said re4. the wii deserves its own lineup of 3rd party exclusives just like the 360 and ps3 have. because once it goes to hdconsoles people forget the wii is what made that game pro. and they go back to talking crap about it. currently theres like 8 games hdowners wanna steal and i cry foul if any hd system gets it.
...it just sounds like you're defending a console. I'm sorry but I wasn't taking aim with the "BETTER SYSTEM MAKES GOOD GAMES BETTER!" argument, simply that others would benefit from having another good game in their library. Your argument is that if you want this game, a 3rd Party release, you should buy a Wii for it. I'm sorry but I don't buy systems for 3rd Party Releases...only exclusive 1st Party titles. Oh, and for the record, I own a Wii...so don't attack my stance thinking I'm some sort of troll trying to "steal away" your precious favorites. My overall point was that, as unfortunate as it is, the Wii simply does not penetrate the market with sales unless it's a 1st Party release, and so companies abandon franchises based on poor Wii sales. Wouldn't you rather see a possible sequel to a game because it received support through other console sales? Zack & Wiki remains one of my favorite Wii titles, but sadly a sequel is rather unlikely due to the poor penetration in the market. Wii owners weren't interested...that's it.
definately not fair wii owners would love to get some 360ps3 exclusives but we cant. anytime we have a great game they must get it no matter what. that aint cool. dont make fun of a system and then ask for its games. nmh is ment to be played with motion. nmh is one of the greatest wii games out. most of the bosses take me 2 tries min to beat. side note i have played with a controller the classic and it just doesntnt feel like no more heroes lol. it feels weird but.
