Played the early beta on ps3, even though it's one map, I had more fun than MW2 >.> everyone should at least give it a shot =P

MS uses some of the money it makes from gold to get demos one week earlier to gold members. Silver and PSN members will get it on Feb. 4th (next Thursday).

No it wont be on PSN for another week! They had the beta and they are getting it on the 4th. It was the best Beta I ever played. Honestly, I didnt play anything else for that whole month. There were people who maxed out the rank and unlocked all the weapons.

PSN doesn't get the demo until Feb. 4th you moron. That was a beta PS3 had back from Nov. to Dec. There's a difference.

The beta only had 1 map the entire month. The demo has a different level and other features that were left off. If it were the same, why would they RE-release it for PSN you dummy. Hence the SNOW level. The beta only had the Desert level(afghan)

sounds like you have completely missed the point of it. it is not a graphics powerhouse/no substance game. this is all about the GAMEPLAY. BFBC gameplay is better than any other and will set the standard for which other games WILL copy this and next year. MW3 will have vehicles and destruction (especially) if it wants to keep up. destruction has changed the online FPS and gives you the ride of you life. no where to hide campers

1) i think the ps3 version looks better than the 360 version.
2) ps3 MP map was a bit boring , not much stuff
3) 360 MP map rocks , its Port Valdez and it is awesome !!!
4) port valdez has helicopter , parachute , and much more.....
5) gonna get it more likely on ps3.

doesnt matter what system , just enjoy and trade that other game (backwards warfare 2) for this bad company 2 !!!

Just played rush on the demo and no one was talking. No one was acting like a team. Which made the game very hard as it was just a bunch of headless chickens running around. I can see how it could be all good if everyone was doing their job, but you don't get that I'm not having a go at anyone playing the game,it's fun to run around killing people and blowing stuff up. But it still feels a bit clunky to me, and hit detection is a bit weird.

As for the graphics, I expected a lot better, it's decent but stuff like Killzone 2 looks a lot better. Vehicles still handle like crap. Gun models look a bit weak. Vehicle fire is just spray and pray now, you will miss a lot even when your sights are right on someone. It's all a bit hit and miss to be honest and just not as tight as Modern warfare. No lag though. Guess I'll be giving this one a miss. This isn't much of a step up from the last game, and the graphics are a let down as I thought we were challenging Killzone 2 with this, I guess not. Maybe even MW2 looks better texture wise.

I have not played the 360 version yet, but the PS3 version did NOT have graphics remotely close to UC2...so unless the 360 version is hands better looking than the PS3 version....I'd say its not even close to UC2...better than MAG, but its not on the same scale as MAG..

MW2 has no chance in terms of graphics against BC2. Maybe you're right that KZ2 looks A LITTLE BIT better (not way better like you say) but BC2 has much bigger maps, while you play KZ2 mostly in buildings.

i just played the 360 demo and the controls feel so much slower than the ps3 version from the beta. also the graphics on the 360 looked washed out and bland with lack of detail. The ps3 version in the beta looked amazing except for the lack of AA at the time

The ps3 controller felt so much tighter and more responsive compared to what I just played.

Ill have to wait to see how the ps3 beta version feels to make my final judgment.

Now off to the pc version after it downloads.

It was worth downloading just to play it for a bit, but I won't be buying. See, it has the same problem as the first, the sides aren't balanced. Being an attacker is so damn hard and requires teamwork to win. Yet defending is ridiculously easy because you keep spawning at the same spot/don't have to keep running across the map like attackers and people can do their "One man army" gig. I always get to the base only to be killed from behind by some guy hiding in a building or by a sniper.

You constantly have to run all the way up the field only to get killed because the defenders keep spawning at the base you are trying to take. It also doesn't help that the entire game mode is based around teamwork and yet nobody uses a mic and it only lets you talk to the 2 or 3 people in your squad. So if you lucky enough to be in a room with people using mics, you can't talk to them unless they are in your squad to begin with and there is no way of knowing if another guy in another squad is using a mic so that you can switch.

Also the DICE has been lying their arses off about the graphics, they are IDENTICAL to the first game which isn't exactly bad (it is better than Call of Duty but not by much) but certainly not matching Killzone 2 and Uncharted like they claimed. The menus and look of the game was very slick/polished and there was ZERO lag/no connection problems, which is something you can't say about MW2. Still, I just hate the way it plays.

Yeah it is weird, yesterday I watched a 7 minute video of single player footage which looked pretty damn good but I would imagine that was from a high end PC and/or they dumbed down the graphics online. Because it certainly didn't look nowhere near as good as that footage.

OP I honestly think it looks a bit better than bc1, for some reason I didn't like the film grain and I'm glad they removed it. They cleaned up a lot of the small details and improved it overall (environments / character models)

I was originally planning on getting this for the 360 (I've moved away from PC's a bit as I enjoy playing casually now, sitting on a sofa or something). I was going to get the 360 because the PS3 was amazing but the lack of AA hurt my eyes... I figured the 360 would have some more AA but it doesnt seem like it playing the demo.

Now I'm not sure what platform to get it at, I love supporting my PS3 and I love the DS3. I enjoy live for all the people i know on it that I'm able to play the game with.. and I love the PC for the quality, mouse/kb (obviously).

That doesn't matter at all because the improvements over the gameplay, maps, interface, experience etc are major and make this game easily a great shooter. If it looked exactly like bc1 with all the other changes I'd still love it.

Also keep in mind when you're talking about graphics vs mw2, the comparison is tough because Mw2 is very close quarters and relies on its textures. BC2 has much more going on as the environments are about 4-5x larger, all realtime and also include environmental damage / demolition as well as ground AND flying vehicles.

To put this in a simpler way, mw2 would have a door, painted on a wall. bc2 will let you open the door, or blow it up, you know?

I actually think the particles / explosions and sound effects are MILES ahead of mw2 as well. This takes up processing power as well..

kudos to DICE for making such an effort to IMPROVE their previous game even though it was still a great one.

You just showed how terrible your gaming skills are. Defending is actually harder and the sides are even. I have played the Beta extensively and I can assure anyone that you can win on either side if you work AS A TEAM. That's the point. Go back to MW2 where everyone is a rogue. You CANNOT hotdog in this game or run around thinking you're Rambo. You need people to repair tanks while you shoot, medics to revive downed soldires and drop med packs behind cover while you attack or defend, and soldiers to drop ammo packs right next to the medic packs to keep you restocked. You also need people to target(paint) vehicles so specialists can rocket launch them and eveyone can spot them on the map. Push the select button so that you can spot an enemy and they show up on radar for everyone to see. You can't do that on MW2 idiot because it's not that type of game

they may have said they are trying to reach UC2 levels but they might have just meant the single player, and to the people who complain about being an attacker and spawning at the other side of the map, try using the option to choose a spawn point, if you really played it then you would already know this. So after playing BETA on ps3, and the demo on Xbox, there are quite a few blatent differences that I noticed right away.

I'm in no way a "fanboy" of either system, I'm literally trying to decide which platform to get it on right now and so far the PS3 version is in favor.

One thing, I wasn't able to find the button that switched vehicle control to 3rd person? was this removed? PS3 was triangle I believe, and I can't find it on xbox but if someone knows let me knowwww

The other thing.. while playing the recon class I'd sit in trees and bushes etc.. I notice the xbox version has this cross-hatch style to all the textures, it becomes very annoying and looks like crap.

The AA seemed to be the same amount for both versions.. both having a lot of jagged edges (more than usual for a console game). My first thought was the xbox was gonna have more AA but it doesnt look like thats the case.

Any opinions? Which version are you getting? I enjoy my pS3, i enjoy my xbox live, and I enjoy the high performance of my PC, ahhhh

now that I played both demos, I am still completely unimpressed..not that this matters now cause its a demo, but the 360 demo had way more screen taring than the PS3 version..
game is totally meh for me...
I was hoping MAG or BC2 would be the new shooter for me early this year..neither gets it done..I really want to try 4*4 BC2 and the SP, but overall not impressed

It is fun, but if you like to run and gun (like me) this might not be the game for you. When online, tactics are a necessity. If you just run out their guns a blazing you'll get killed by a sniper or tank and will have a 10 second respawn. That draws me to my next problems, Sniping is WAY to easy and their are too many tanks. Besides those three things it's a very good game.

Dissapointed by BC:BC2, I enjoyed the first, but the 2nd dons't seemed to have improved in anyway over the original, it felt and played pretty much exactly the same as the first game. Dissapointed that they've added very little, also the graphics were horrible. MW2 beats BF:BC2 in every department, at least in MP. Shame.

i think the balancing is pretty good.
someone said earlier that defending is harder than attacking...but i did not experience an unfair advantage against the other team.
i like the whole squad system
and the medic+engineer guy thing
it really upps the teamplay aspect.
and the sound FX are the best i heard in a long time!

i´m sold on this one...for sure
(and still didn´t finish MW2...i´m only around 30 percent in MP and did not even beginn SP campaign or Spec-ops because of the awesome online matches...*damn*)
