Game Arena: Mass Effect 2 Review

Mass Effect 2 is built as a direct sequel from the ground up, and while it has been built well enough that a player not familiar with the first game won't feel left out, finishing the first game gives you a definite advantage. To give gamers more incentive to finish Mass Effect first, importing your save from the original game impacts the character you have in this game - not the easiest thing to do when you're playing on a different Xbox to your own. 9.5/10

This game is really one of the best games for GOTY 2010.

With games like Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, RAGE, God of War 3, Heavy Rain and many more, the year 2010 is really one of the best this gen.

There is so much competition this year for the GOTY AWARD, crazy!

I'll openly admit that in some way shape or form I am a PS3 fanboy... I do own a 360 but i don't play it much although i do plan to. At present i have even lent my 360 to my cousin but i'm going to have to get it back now... I knew this would be good but i am really shocked at just how well it's being received.

I'm going to have to put my alliances aside for this game and give the 360 a proper run for it's money. Can't wait

i loved the first game more than this,ME2 is trying to be two games in one and it doesn't succeed,first everybody is calling this game an RPG,this game its not an RPG anymore,then they are trying to make it a 3rd person shooter and it sucks compared to games like Uncharted 2 and Gears,no more different armor for the party,no more different armor for your character,you only can have a different armor through DLC and those suck because you can't even take the helmet down,the graphics are the same as the first,the good part is that they fixed the frame rate and the pop up textures,still ...a close up to the character or talking to an NPC shows the low text on their clothes,the story is nice but worse that the first game,it doesn't make me to know more about those collectors like it the first game when i wanted to find more about the Reapers and Saren,and about Saren...ME2 doesn't have a villain like Saren ,a character that you want to know more about it and want to confront it,the final boss is so cheap,the only thing that i like is your allies personality

This game doesn't deserve such high scores
