GamingTrend: League of Legends Review

GamingTrend writes: "If you're a fan of DotA Allstars then you really don't need to read this review. Chances are you're already playing and enjoying League of Legends. However, if like me, you have never played DotA Allstars then please read on. League of Legends is a true successor to the fairly popular DotA Allstars mod for Warcraft III. The game focuses on multiplayer team based combat, wherein the goal is to destroy the opposing team's base. Most matches are 5-on-5 and they take place in real time. At the start of a match each player must choose their own champion to control. Each champion has their own unique set of abilities and attacks that must be taken into consideration when starting the game. Once a match starts you can only control your character. There is no base building or resource gathering. Each team will have armies of A.I. controlled minions, but they spawn on their own and attack on their own. This creates a game where the focus is on action instead of base building and defensive strategy. Players will constantly be involved in fighting, either defending their base or attacking the enemy positions." (League of Legends, League of Legends: Clash of Fates, PC) 77/100
