GameShark: Rogue Warrior Review

Though the game really tries for the over the top action of a summer blockbuster, it never comes close to that level of satisfaction. The gunplay feels like a chunky afterthought, and a cover system that very nearly causes more harm than good doesn't help either. With the multiplayer void of any participants the game relies on its single player, and though the swear-filled protagonist voiced by Mickey Rourke has some rugged charm the rest of the gameplay simply can't hold it together. The amount that the frame rate chugs along is a fitting metaphor-barely enough to keep things going and the whole time you wish it would just stop. (PC, Rogue Warrior, Xbox 360) D/A+
