Overall, Army Of Two: The 40th Day is a really strong package that sets a good standard for other shooters to follow in 2010. Despite its fairly short length and somewhat basic narrative, the main campaign packs in a huge amount of content and playing with a buddy is still an absolute blast. The weapons customisation system is a triumph and the multiplayer options provide plenty of replayability. EA Montreal has still largely tripped up on the moral aspects of the subject matter, particularly with the cutscenes, but the grey area surrounding mercenaries was never going to be an easy topic to cover. Anyone looking for a polished, well designed and downright enjoyable shooter should definitely give Army Of Two: The 40th Day a look.
