NowGamer will post the first online UK review of BioWare's epic sequel

You'll be able to see what we scored the second part of BioWare's sprawling space opera from 1am GMT, Saturday, 23 January. The buzz around the NowGamer office for Mass Effect 2 is extremely positive, with those that have finished the second in BioWare's trilogy full of praise for game's story, action and enhancements: "It's debatably BioWare's best title yet..."

I'll check that out tomorrow. There is zero chance that I am waiting by my computer for 1AM.

to bring on the online reviews ... there's only a few days before release.

joydestroy3248d ago

i just wanna read what reviewers have to say. regardless of what the scores are, this game will be on my doorstep come next tuesday.

Why would they announce a review if the game was getting a low score from them? Probably nothing below a 9. And yeah, as said above, the content of the review is more important than the score.

"Mass Effect 2 changes how videogame sequels work, and it’s done in a way that no other medium could manage.”

I have a feeling the review will be good...

BeaArthur3248d ago

I'm typically a big fan of video reviews myself. I like to see what they are actually talking about when the describe things.

Ghostsmoker3248d ago

I think ME2 will get some good scores. It's a high quality game imo.

Redlogic3248d ago

but in the end it doesn't matter to me, this is a day one purchase no matter what. I have loved Bioware ever since Knights of the Old Republic. I loved ME and know that ME2 will blow me away. Can't wait to sink my teeth into this!!

bioware is just one of those devs..

when i see their logo on a game i dont have to worry about quality, i just buy it.

teenieboober3247d ago

So a site like Now Gamer somehow manages to convince Bioware to let them violate an embargo when a site like IGN can't?

I do not see this ending well.

tdrules3247d ago

what embargo, OXM UK has reviewed it, loads of mags have reviewed it.

and IGN haven't been important in years

teenieboober3247d ago (Edited 3247d ago )

There's a big difference between one of the largest gaming MAGAZINES in the industry and a web site.

Braineater24483247d ago (Edited 3247d ago )

How convenient that the game got leaked on the torrent sites a day or two ago. I'd bet that they are reviewing an illegal copy. Classy, NowGamer...

teenieboober3247d ago

In all fairness, review copies HAVE been distributed. But they're marked very clearly with a HUGE WARNING about an EMBARGO that doesn't get lifted until Tuesday.

jimmins3247d ago

It's part of the same company as magazines such as gamesTM, Play, X360 and 360 - why would they wait until 1am if they were reviewing an illegal copy, hmmm?
