GamingTrend: Demon's Souls Review

GT writes: "Once upon a time, games were hard. You didn't have save points, multiple save games, unlimited lives or difficulty levels. You had the game and your skill, and that was it. Many times, you had three lives and if you didn't beat the game, that was it. Even in arcade games where you could insert another quarter, often you had to start the level over again after doing so.

Thanks to From Software and Atlus, we've been given the opportunity to relive those days again with Demon's Souls. Be warned, this game is insanely difficult. However, unlike many games in the 80s and 90s, it isn't cheap and it doesn't cheat. Unlike many games before it, Demon's Souls requires you to actually think about what you're doing -- not the most common of things in an action RPG." (Demon's Souls, PS3) 90/100
