One of the better looking games on Wii pays homage to the survival horror series in this rigid though feature-packed 'on rails' shooter.
As with all great horror flicks, certain doom is spelled out for the cast right from the start. With this latest Wii blaster the writing on the wall reads 'Old Fashioned On-Rails Arcade Experience' and from that there is no escape. Exclusive Resident Evil titles originally released for GameCube, including the upcoming Wii edition of Zero, were full blown chapters in which players had freedom to find their own dead ends. In The Darkside Chronicles you feel like your feet have been glued to a trolley and your head is being manipulated like a ventriloquist's dummy. The only thing you have control of is your gun-firing arm, used to aim and shoot or aim and collect items.
