Sony has made the audacious claim that 90.8% of the 6,000 high definition movies sold in Australia in the first quarter of 2007 have been in the BluRay format.
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
6,000 movies / 2,500,000 movies (hd-dvd and bluray) = .0024
in other words, of all the movies that have been sold (world wide) in HD the australian market comprises 0.24% wow... so bluray taking 91% of 0.24% is important eh?
Why dont they focus on games for a change. Who cares about this format crap. they will sink the Playstation ship trying to push a rubber dingy.
that 6000 isn't total sales figures. It's the first 3 months of 2007. And since I highly doubt that 2.5 million HD discs were sold in 3 months, the percentage is probably higher.
As far as why they don't just focus on games, Sony is more than just a gaming company, as is often stated. They do have a movie division as well that they have to take care of.
"The report also reveals that for the third quarter running, total HD category sales are higher than non-HD models, representing over two-thirds of total spending, with a year-on-year increase in HD sales of over 80%."
If this is accurate, then I guess the market for HD in general is getting very good over there.
"Sony Australia’s latest HD Benchmark Report puts Blu-ray well ahead of the HD DVD format. Of the nearly 6,000 HD movies sold in Australia in Q1 2007, 90.8% were in the Blu-ray format," the company said in a statement.
"The report also reveals that for the third quarter running, total HD category sales are higher than non-HD models, representing over two-thirds of total spending, with a year-on-year increase in HD sales of over 80%.
