Majesco Returning to Profitability

Despite nearly $200,000 in net losses, company may be on the verge of an upswing due to shift towards mass market projects.

Just three months ago, Majesco Entertainment disclosed their 1st quarter financial results. The company posted a loss in sales of around $6 million compared to the same period in 2006, while overall losses were actually significantly lower.

In what came as surprise to many, Majesco announced a future shift away from big-budget games to more market friendly projects that have a wider appeal to the mass market audience.

Double Fines next project. The publisher is too small for such great games Tim Shafer comes up with. Psychonauts had no chance even though it was such a great game that scored an average of 9's by Critics.

I really enjoyed Phantom Dust for the Xbox. Was pretty fun, and hopefully they come out with a second one.
