Lots of big RPGs made 2005 a great year. Dragon Quest VIII, Guild Wars, Digital Devil Saga, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Jade Empire, a handheld Final Fantasy IV port made it so, along with many others. Plus, it was the year the PSP and Xbox 360 arrived in the gaming world.
(Asheron's Call, Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, City of Heroes, City of Villains, Culture, Dragon Quest VIII, Dungeon Lords, EverQuest, Everquest 2, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, GameCube, Grandia III, Guild Wars, Jade Empire, Kingdom of Paradise, Lord of the Rings Tactics, Makai Kingdom: Chronicles of the Sacred Tome, MapleStory, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Nintendo DS, PC, Popolocrois, PS2, PSP, Romancing SaGa, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2, Wild ARMs Alter Code F, World of Warcraft, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xenosaga Episode 2, X-Men Legends II, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim)
Haha. I felt the same way about Xenosaga II. I didn't mind the visual changes much at all, but when I got online boy was I wrong to think so.
-I loved Wild ARMs on the ogiginal PlayStation and I thought Alter Code F was a great tribute in its remake.
-Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time gets dumped on a lot, but I enjoyed very minute. :)
-Final Fantasy IV Advance was another great remake. Very well done.
-My friend got Guild Wars and was waaay into it. He begged me and eventually I joined up too. Played for about a year and a half.
Great year! Cheers to the memory!
