PC games published new videos of MechWarrior Living Legends beta.
I have many fond memories of Mechwarrior 2 on my old 4 meg 3dFX Voodoo 2 and Pentium 133 processor rig. (with 32 megs of ram) Those were the days. This new game looks hella nice too.
I could swear this game is also coming to 360 "The PC and Xbox 360 game titled simply 'MechWarrior' is being developed by Piranha Games in Unreal Engine 3, in collaboration with Weisman's company Smith & Tinker." Yet i don't see the 360 channel ... or is this another mechwarrior game?
Your right. It is coming to the 360. Still under the TBA on the IGN boards. http://xbox360.ign.com/obje...
After watching the videos it looks like a major lag fest. I also remember playing Mechwarrior 2 on my PC, and i was on a 56K modem living in the boonies. I had major lag, i had to lead the target almost a whole screen width to hit...i even got some critical hits sometimes.
Looking forward to seeing some more videos and learning what differences are going to be made for the 360 version.
If you got the Dl from Mektek they had a problem with that file and it did have corrupted files in it. Dl the torrent right from Mechwarrior:Living Legends and it should work Perfectly.
this is just a full conversion mod for crysis. They got permission from MS to create the game. the 360/pc game is just called Mechwarrior, it's being developed by piranha games and smith and tinker (the founder is jordan wiesman, creator of the battletech series). http://www.piranha-games.co...
Hahah, this game is built off the Crysis engine and not UE3. That's an entirely different MechWarrior series.
Look good, but I hope the final version has more physical effects. Gives some mass and weight tot he mechs.
Looks very laggy when u look at someone else... That is typical of the cryengine2... terrible netcode when it came to vehicles. Sadly aside from that glad someone put out a mod finally... but i actually met the guys who worked on this mod, and crytek hired them lol... I dont know if the mod was funded by crytek or if these guys just did it on the side, but im sure it has something to do with why they got hired.
It's a fun game, but for those of us who don't have maxed-out rigs, the game can get laggy pretty often, especially when 'Mechs go critical and explode. But it's an awesome mod and does some great justice to the Mechwarrior series.
